He's a decent player, but still has very little fantasy value, just another flash in the pan.

So what's his value at in terms of picks? What would convince you to sell and at what price would you buy?

I'd happily sell for a mid-late 2nd, and I'd probably buy for a 4th.

I think he's a really good "throw in on top of the trade to get it done" piece right now, basically.

It'll be interesting to see what SF does with McKinnon in the offseason. 6.5M salary in 2020. 4M dead cap to cut him.

I thought he was an obvious cut name. Then again I never liked the original deal when it was signed because I wrote him off a while ago in MIN

His full cap hit would be 8.5M, so they'd save 4.5 by cutting him even with the 4M dead cap. He's likely gone.

Plus if they designate it as a post June 1st(I believe that’s the date) then they only take half the cap hit this year and the other hit next

I just can't buy into him. In the preseason it was clearly Coleman's job, then Breida had the great game against the Browns on MNF and Breida was clearly the guy, then Coleman has the awesome game against the Panthers and now Coleman is the guy again, then Mostert has an awesome playoff game the week after Coleman had a great playoff game. Long story short, this team will be an RBBC as long as Shanny is the coach. I have a friend who had all three RBs this year and played the wrong one literally every week lol.

I think most(ert) owners have higher hopes than this. No one will buy for a 4th because no one is selling for a 4th
I agree that I'd probably sell for a mid 2nd but even that would be a tough call for me

I got an offer from the Mostert owner (Team 2) yesterday - guy was packaging Mostert with his 1.11 to try & move up to my 1.04

QB: Herbert, Kyler, Baker, Jimmy G, Mariota, DTR
RB: Taylor, Saquon, Javonte, Conner, C.Evans, TDP
WR: Chase, Aiyuk, Olave, Diggs, Diontae, Hollywood, MT, Shaheed
TE: Engram, Woods, Kraft

Team 2:
12-Team | PPR | SuperFlex | 0.5-TEP
Start: QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3FLX/1SF
QB: Mahomes, Allen, Russ
RB: Breece, JT, Swift, Javonte, Mostert, Zamir
WR: Chase, Aiyuk, Nico, Kupp, Hollywood, Kirk, MT
TE: Pitts, Njoku, Woods
'24 picks: 4.01

Team 3:
12-Team | PPR | SuperFlex | 0.5-TEP
Start: QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3FLX/1SF

So Mostert is an obvious sell, but how do you sell him without making it obvious you are trying to cash out? That is always my problem.

Is he a buy low since I know that you know I know you’re trying to sell high?

Of course. You asked what I'd personally buy him for, as an owner, though. This speaks to where I see his value at - one man in a 4 man backfield, that rotates backs. He's definitely talented, but I also know that I got him for free of the wire. Players like that, I trust myself to find every year - so I'd easily take the 2nd, and move on.

I don't think I'd want to give up a 3rd in this draft for him, though that's probably closer to where his value is. So for me it's a 4th. You did ask.

If you like Mostert then that offer is well calculated. He's exactly what I said - a trade sweetener with not a lot of standalone value right now.
