I haven't yet looked at one minute of film on this class, nor have I seen any 2019 season games... But from what I've gathered about game results, this Burrow kid is mighty impressive. I have been on board the Tua Train for a long time, ever since watching him torch a good defense in that National Championship game. But I think me and my Superflex 1.01 will lean towards Burrow, unless his tape underwhelms me. And I doubt that will happen.

These playoff games have turned me into an Etienne believer. If he gets drafted by the chiefs then I won’t be able to take him with my 1.1 fast enough

I've had Etienne at my 1.04 for a while now but I agree, I might have to take another look at his games, He looked good in the spotlight recently.Sfoster2625 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 2:41 am These playoff games have turned me into an Etienne believer. Agreed. Or another top landing spot with a clear path to a workhorse role. Burrow's played for 2 years but I don't think that you hold 2018 against him. LSU went from running the ball 40+ times per game, to hiring Joe Brady who installed the spread offense and Burrow blew it out of the water.
Thankfully for Burrow, it doesn't appear he's going to a team with an archaic offense a la Jeff Fisher, etc.
Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
I think if any of the top 4 backs gets drafted by the chiefs they would be seen as the RB1- the ceiling is just too high.

It won't. The one thing I will say is, I still love Tua, but Burrow handles pressure better. His pocket presence is something that I don't believe you can teach. He never gets phased. He's so cool, and the way he maneuvers while still keeping his eyes downfield is the best I've seen in a long time for a college player.Cult of Dionysus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 1:48 am I haven't yet looked at one minute of film on this class, nor have I seen any 2019 season games... With Joe Brady now the OC in CAR, I could see a scenario where they could trade up for Burrow in CIN isn't completely sold (which I heard someone say on the radio this week although hardly credible). Cam/1.07/2021 1st/2021 2nd for 1.01? Not totally crazy but I doubt it.
This class is going to be stacked. I'm bummed about Chuba. Still hoping Edwards-Helaire gets locked in soon and maybe, though it doesn't sound good... Najae

Yeah, Etienne has really impressed me in the College Football Playoffs.
Then again, so did Dobbins, and CEH. And J. Taylor impresses every time I turn on his tape. Swift, ironically, is the only top5 RB I'm not convinced on. I just thought his 2018 tape was stellar and his 2019 tape was fairly pedestrian.

Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
I don't think Etienne is a good fit for KC. He is not the best receiver (I know he had 32 catches, but they were almost all screens) although he has improved his hands since his issue with anxiety over catching the football. He isn't the best in pass pro, either. However with Reid's scheming, any play that misdirects the D will be maximized by his speed. I think Swift or Dobbins would suit the Chiefs better, though. They are stronger in pass pro and have better hands.

Chiefs have 5 draft picks. Currently, it makes no sense for them to draft high on an RB given their holes on the offensive line and defense.
Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
I agree and I've been saying all year, Lawrence after his freshman year had the POTENTIAL to be a generational QB prospect. The problem is people were crowning him as that already.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:45 pmI understand all this. However as of now, Burrow is the more advanced and better QB. I understand the age difference. My point is Lawrence is not a generational talent IMO. He needs to hone his passing before I would call him that. I know he's really good for his age, but he's still got to elevate to another level to make it in the NFL as an elite QB. He's not there yet. He probably will, but I'm just not in the camp that he's the best prospect in ten or 15 years, like some others think. If Lawrence were eligible right now, Burrow would still be the top QB, IMO, and there are lots of others who think similarly. Lawrence has time to develop to the another level, because he's younger. It doesn't mean he will. I am saying he's overrated in the context of being a generational talent at QB, as I believe I bracketed in my original point.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:38 pm Lawrence didn't have his best game obviously, but no one is perfect all the time. Burrow didn't show what he was capable of until year 5 in college, Lawrence showed it from the moment he arrived on campus and went on to win a National Championship over Alabama as a true freshman. He followed that up with another undefeated season and appearance in the National Title game with a victory over an incredibly stacked Ohio State team and then falling to the hottest team in the country whos QB just completed the greatest single season performance of any QB in the history of College Football. Burrow is a phenomenal player, and no doubt the #1 QB and #1 pick in this years draft class, but only because Lawrence isn't eligible yet. Lawrence is a 20 year old kid who's had nearly unprecedented expectations and hype surrounding him, which up until last night he lived up to if not exceeded. One loss (the first of his career) and less than stellar performance against one of the best College Football teams we've seen in a long time is not a sign that he's over rated, it's a sign that he's actually human and not the bionic super QB created in a lab he's seemed most of his career.
He had a really really good freshman year....for a freshman. It was merely good but not great relative to your typical top QB prospects coming out most years. The expectation was that he would keep improving from that freshman year and people already treated him as if he had done it, but he really remained stagnant if not slightly regressed this year.
He plays on a stacked team against a really weak schedule and puts up efficiency metrics that are pretty good but far from generational and mostly in line with top QB prospects most years. He has prototypical size, obviously, but that can be said about a lot of guys.
Basically Lawrence as a freshman was as good as someone like Sam Darnold was as a sophomore/junior. So the notion was if Lawrence is already this good as good as a top 5 NFL pick as a freshman, imagine how good he's going to be as a sophomore/junior. But he really didn't progress much, and is still kinda the same guy he was as a freshman.

Yeah, but they didn't have a first last year and drafted Hardman in the 2nd. Regardless of the Hill situation, that was harldy their most pressing need, and Reid has visibly been unimpressed with his current RB situation, so I would certainly not rule it out.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 11:46 am Chiefs have 5 draft picks.
