What is the cost in future picks to move up from 1.09

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What is the cost in future picks to move up from 1.09

Postby Diesel157 » Fri Jan 10, 2020 3:52 pm

I want to move up from 1.09 in 2020 to 1.04, 1.05 or 1.06. What do you think it will cost to move into that range this year using 2020 or 2021 picks?

The 1.04 would by the 1.09 1.10 and a high 2nd

Picks get exponentially more expensive.

1.06 would cost 1.09 and maybe even your 2021 1st
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

Yup. While this year's draft is deeper, the top prospects are in that top 5-7 range, so moving up from 9 WILL cost a lot.

I see you have made 3 posts. I don't know your team or situation.

let me tell you this.

there is zero reason to trade 9 for any of those picks right now. when is your draft?

Not to hijack this thread, but for the sake of not starting a new one:

I have 1.05, 1.08, 1.10, 1.11. What would it take to move into the top 2 without overspending?

Actually I think now is the time to buy into the top 4 or 5 if that's what you want to do. IMO it's only going to get more expensive to try and move up from the back of the 1st into what most will consider the top tier of this draft. Even more so once we get closer to the combine and all the focus is on the new class coming in.

And of course add 1 or 2 spots for SF leagues. Gret year to have a top 9 pick in SF!
