Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
Thanks for sharing. Watson looks a bit alone there, don't you think? I'd have him in tier 1. I'd move Prescott down a tier and Wentz up one. Seems Winston's missing, too.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
Yeah I was thinking Watson is either in tier 1 slightly behind the other 3 or make it Tier 1 with Lamar and Mahomes and then tier 2 Watson and Wilson. Russell just due to being a little older. He's fantastic otherwise.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:03 pm Thanks for sharing. Watson looks a bit alone there, don't you think? I'd have him in tier 1. Winston is questionable because I'm not sure TB re-signs him. I think they should, I also think he's a top 12 QB and I'd take him over Darnold. I wish he could limit the turnovers...
Dak is great for fantasy, I think he's a mid to low QB1. His situation is a bit uncertain. I bet he stays in Dallas, but then the talent around him is going to be a little cap strapped.
I think Kirk and Jimmy G deserve at least a mention here. I prefer both to Darnold. I used to like Goff a lot but man that team is going through it right now and I want no part of it.
Stafford (and others alike) arent too bad/old either but then you're moreso looking at league settings. In a 1QB, he's not a very intriguing option and doesn't provide the Kyler or Dak or Winston youth/upside. In 2QB he's a fine QB2 and probably could be had fairly cheap

Totally forgot Stafford. What ever tier Ryan is in, Stafford belongs there too.

Is this 4 points for passing tds?
1.Mahomes
2.Lamar
3.Watson
4.Wilson
5.Murray
6.Allen
7.Wentz
8.Dak
9.Rodgers
10.Ryan
11.Baker
12.Stafford
Omitted Winston because I’m not sure he’s the qb of the Bucs next year. Plus I couldn’t move him for Allen straight up or even when I added a little so he’s definitely not valued top 10 at the position.

Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
I understand Winston puts up points, but his turnovers and boneheaded plays put him in conversations about not even being a starter. I've never seen anyone ran him this high. To have him above players like Dak, or even a guy like Wentz, who are part of an "interchangeable cluster", is baffling to me. He's a turnover machine, and benefits from 2 upper echelon WR's. He's great for Fantasy, but who wouldn't be with those wideouts? He has a 5 year resume of turning the ball over, and leads the league in INT's and turnovers this year.

Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
Winston is currently the #5 QB and I would be absolutely stunned if he's not starting next year.
I know many here will disagree with me on this one but I'm fine with that - but these are my ranks for QBs in fantasy football.

Sure, but in a Dynasty context, Winston is a year to year player right now, he has way more risk of being a backup compared to a lot of others in the near future. They are your rankings, that's fine, I just don't agree with Winston being that high in a Dynasty context. To each their own.

Watson makes too many mistakes for me to put him with the rest, but rest assured he is much closer to T1 than T3.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:36 pmYeah I was thinking Watson is either in tier 1 slightly behind the other 3 or make it Tier 1 with Lamar and Mahomes and then tier 2 Watson and Wilson. No qualms with you moving down Prescott or up Wentz, but I personably think Wentz gets too many passes and am not as much a believer as others.
The T4 category can come down much to preference, and I am a Darnold fan. Cousins, Garoppolo, Winston, Goff, Stafford are honorable mentions for me, but Winston will never crack my T12. Too many mistakes, too turnover prone, doesn’t see the field. Much better fantasy QB than real life QB and not sure he is a starter in 2021.

Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
I also think the "risk of him being a backup" are overblown and I don't view him as year to year as evidenced by my rankings.
Plus personally for QBs - at the top I'm aiming for the high ceiling players.
He turns the ball over sure and that has not gone well in the past - but there has never been a player with the capability of Winston when he's on with a large track of turnovers. That's why he's still in the league at this point and why he will still be the Bucs starter next year.

Re: Early 2020 Rankings - Top 12 QBs
Perhaps, but they weren't willing to take his 5th year option. Winston has arm talent, but he's one of the biggest boneheads I've seen play at the position in recent years. Teams that turn the ball over that much don't win, it's just how it is. Winston won't be a winning QB unless he cuts the turnovers, and he's shown zero indication he can or will do that. In terms of him being with the Bucs, it really depends on what Winston wants and how much TB is prepared to pay. There is no guarantee Jameis and the Bucs are on the same page financially.Phaded wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 8:55 pm I also think the "risk of him being a backup" are overblown and I don't view him as year to year as evidenced by my rankings.

Ya I'm not onboard with Winston. Great stats this year but I feel he's still on a short leash. For the next 3 years I'd rather have Wentz or Cousins than Winston. Maybe a little less upside (not much) and a safer floor.

He very well may set the single season INT record this year.perkinsrooster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 10:41 pm Ya I'm not onboard with Winston. I don't disagree with anything you are saying. The fantasy upside is there though. Floor is obviously 0 as a backup QB. I thought he was in his 5th year of the roookie contract though??FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 9:14 pmPerhaps, but they weren't willing to take his 5th year option.
