Tyler Boyd

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tyler Boyd

Postby OhSnapItsAnt » Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:27 pm

I sold Boyd for a deal I couldn’t refuse earlier in the season.
Boyd, Tyrell Williams, 2020 3rd for Keenan Allen

I’m huge on boyd.. And even though I felt like a got a great deal it hurt letting him go.

My question: if Burrow ends up in Cincy, does Boyd’s value sky rocket? I think I want to try to get him back but not really sure how to yet. Is he worth trying to target?

With a more capable QB, seems like he could be a top 15 guy with his skill set. He likely has a late 1st equivalent value.

Not sure I'd say sky rocket. I'm a Boyd believer as well, but I'm not sure he will ever be a consistent year after year WR1. In his defense, he has had to deal with inconsistent QB play in each of the past 2 years, but most young QBs generally come with their share of growing pains as well. To answer your question as best I can, I'd say he ends up in the mid-late WR2 range if the Bengals land Burrow.

I think he's worth buying, but all depends on the price. Hard to gauge what that should be right now. I'd just inquire and see what the owner says.

I think Boyd is a great buy-low and I will be targeting him this offseason. Well, in one of three leagues where I don’t already own him.

I just bought him today for my 2020 1st (I am in the championship so it will be either 1.11 or 1.12). Seemed like a fair deal as much as I hate moving those 1sts right now before they start to really go up in value

Good deal. I'm high on the 2020 class, but if you drafted a player in the last first round who developed into Boyd you'd be pumped. This just cuts out the 2-3 year development period.

Makes me want to offer the 1.12 in Wasteland for Boyd then. Can't see a top 10 RB falling that far. I could use Boyd's value, most likely with Burrow, to package and trade up at WR or RB moreso than I could with the late 1st.
