Wasn't DM a huge disappointment and Williams only slightly less so? Some of these posts are just screaming trade the hype to me.

Yeah, but Taylor isn't the same type of player. Taylor is an athletic, nuanced runner that runs in between the tackles exceptionally well, and has very good vision. He's has a much better chance of transitioning to the NFL than someone like McFadden. I never liked that pick, as a Raiders fan.perkinsrooster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:38 pmWasn't DM a huge disappointment and Williams only slightly less so? Taylor is a very safe prospect, IMO. He's a better prospect than Gordon, who also came out of Wisky.

Player A: 1,216 yards, 7 TD's, 6.2 YPA, 24 receptions, 216 yards, 1 TD
Player B: 1,290 Yards, 16 TD's 6.5 YPA, 50 Receptions, 399 yards, 1 TD
Both these players play in the same conference, and player A is valued significantly higher than Player B right now. In terms of current value, player B seems the better value, and I really like player A.

We'll have to see how they look at the combine. Swift has always come with more hype. Edwards-Helaire is one of those players who was on nobody's radar and has improved his stock noticeably. So, the dynasty community may be late still. I like the CJ Anderson comparison for Edwards-Helaire.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 3:43 pm Player A: 1,216 yards, 7 TD's, 6.2 YPA, 24 receptions, 216 yards, 1 TD

This is just another reason people should be loading up on 2nd round picks in this class:
Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Zack Moss
K.J. Hamler
Bryan Edwards
Brandon Aiyuk
Brycen Hopkins
Keshawn Vaughn
Tavien Feaster
Donovan Peoples-Jones
Chubba Hubbard
A.J. Dillon
I could keep going.
I'm not saying all of these players are really good NFL prospects, but the depth of intriguing talent is insane this year.
Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
McFadden was a good player. He was disappointing, but it was never really due to his on field ability. I’d be very happy if I knew I was taking a RB as good as McFadden.perkinsrooster wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:38 pmWasn't DM a huge disappointment and Williams only slightly less so? In terms of running style, maybe a bit, or because of his height and weight, but he's more athletic, IMO, and much more useful in the passing game.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 3:52 pmWe'll have to see how they look at the combine. BTW, Isn't Hamler next year, more likely? I haven't heard of him declaring.
Combine will tell a lot. I don't think Etienne is a sub 4.4 guy, personally, and I have my doubts on Akers athleticism, too. Some guys will rise, others will fall, as is always the case. Tons of intriguing players, though, for sure.

Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
Watched a bunch of RBs today and this is how I have them ranked:
1. Jonathan Taylor - awesome combination of power, explosion, and inside quickness.
2. D'Andre Swift - I loved his 2018 film and 2019 looked a lot worse to me. Elite lateral ability + good size + hands.
3. Cam Akers - don't see a big difference in talent between him, Taylor, and Swift. Every trait you want in a RB: explosion, size, contact balance, lateral ability, hands.
4. JK Dobbins - don't see any elite traits but very well-rounded back.
5. Travis Etienne - really linear player without a lot of wiggle but elite explosiveness and long speed
6. Zack Moss - contact balance + lateral ability + vision/patience. Doesnt look like an explosive athlete.
7. Eno Benjamin - incredibly violent runner with nice explosion and lateral ability.
8. Chubba Hubbard - one cut and go runner. Shot out of a cannon and good patience to wait for a crease to develop. Reminds me of Tevin Coleman.
9. Najee Harris - big and fast plus he can catch but don't see any RB trait that stands out.
10. Clyde Edwards-Helaire - future backup RB.
Overall: freaking amazing class. I have first round grades on Taylor, Swift, and Akers and second round grades on Dobbins, Etienne, Moss, Benjamin, and Hubbard. For comparison I would have had Josh Jacobs 4th and Montgomery 8th last year.

I agree. Thanks. Agree with a lot of takes, but not a fan of Akers. I have him well down on my list. I personally like Clyde a lot more than him, for example.

Re: More 2020 Hype: "If You Need A RB or WR, this is the draft for you."
Sorry. I just meant I have him further down my list, rather than right up with the top few backs. I meant to say not a fan of Akers that high. I have him well below them. He's a solid back with hands, I just don't think he's an elite prospect. I like Clyde more than most right now, it seems. I'd probably have Akers somewhere below Dobbins, on your list, either right below, or just below Etienne. Ahead of Moss. I would also have Kylin Hill in there.Chwf3rd wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 8:38 pmWhat don’t you like about Akers?FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 8:31 pmI agree. Thanks.
