I'll tell ya this though, if I get the 1.1 and 1.2 I am definetly drafting Taylor and swift and changing my team name to the TAYLOR SWIFTSjenkins.math wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 7:35 pm As of right now I don't think there is a huge difference between Taylor and Swift but that all changes if one of them goes to KC (or any other landing spot you find enticing).

Re: 1.01 value
It's really too early to say. Hold your pick until after the NFL draft. Know landing spots. If Swift or Taylor end up in KC, you will be asking for an arm or a leg to move back, just like when Zeke landed in Dallas.Sfoster2625 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 5:22 pm Obviously things could change if one of the top players ends up in a perfect landing spot. In a draft with depth and no obvious top player what would you value the first overall pick? Guy who owns the 1.03 in my league has already shown interest in possibly moving up a couple spots. What would y’all need on top of and/or in general player or pick wise to give up the top pick?

i'd wait to move the pick, whats the rush to move it now, unless you're getting a kings ransom, (multiple top picks) or young stallions.
taylor showed he can catch the ball this year so he could be 1. all 3 are super talented, looking forward to see how it shakes out

Same. Looking back over my history, league started in 2010 so 2011 was our first rookie draft:nathanq42 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 11:43 pmCorrect, I've got 0 luck/abilityIce wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 8:32 pmNever understood that logic.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 5:50 pm Right now, I don't see much difference between 1.01 & 1.03 ... actually I prefer 1.03 since the decision will be made for me. 2011 - Kendricks, Lance (I was still figuring out Dynasty and needed a TE)
2012 - Blackmon, Justin
2013 - No 1st round pick
2014 - 3 picks of Sammy Watkins, Jordan Matthews, Carlos Hyde
2015 - Breshad Perriman
2016 - Josh Doctson
2017 - 2 1st round picks of Joe Mixon and D'Onta Foreman
2018 - Sony Michel
2019 - N'Keal Harry
Now granted not all of these are early picks (2014 was 1.01, 1.03, and 1.04. 1.02 was Bishop Sankey) but it is always interesting to go back over years past and see just how low the hit rate is of rookies overall.
Edit: back to the OP, 2020 was much more like 2019 where there are several players that could be the 1.01 so the top picks are all very close in value. Unlike 2018 with Barkely being the clear 1.01 and you likely couldn't trade both the 1.02 + 1.03 for the 1.01.

Honestly, this early, it's hard for me to know what I'd want in terms of picks / players. Knowing his roster would help, too.
That being said, I think that can be the basis of your reply. Try something like, "Truthfully, I haven't even started thinking about it yet. I can give it some though soon, but what were you thinking of offering to move up?"
If the other owner insists that you make the first offer, then find a player that you like (a Robby Anderson type) or, hell, ask for a 2021 1st. You can always negotiate down from there.
In other words, rather than identifying exactly what you need now, start the trade talks, figure out what the other owner is willing to part with, and then decide if it's worth it.

Re: 1.01 value
I have the 1.03 in my league and I'm perfectly content with waiting it out and not paying up to move to the 1.01. But if the 1.01 owner ONLY wanted Robby Anderson added onto the 1.03 I would make that move. I wouldn't be selling the 1.03 + top 50 ranked player to move up to 1.01 though.

Re: 1.01 value
Lets compare the value differences between the top 3-4 picks to this past years draft. I'm not saying the 2019 class is as talented or valuable as the 2020 class, just that they all seem to be valued close to each other.
Josh Jacobs was usually the 1.01 but a lot of people valued Jacobs/Montgumby/Sanders/Harry very close. Looking back at it now, Jacobs is scoring about 3ppg more than sanders, sanders is scoring about 1ppg more than montgumby. I think they are all still valued similarly to where they were drafted. If you had traded down from 1.01 to 1.03 and picked up a late 1st round pick, I think you definitely won that trade because you could have gotten someone like AJB/Deebo/Marquise Brown with that other 1st round pick you got in return.
Not saying that is the case again this year, but if the top few players all have similar value, I think a trade down is definitely valuable.
