Potential big Lamar Jackson trade (updated)

Postby NFL123 » Thu Dec 05, 2019 3:44 pm

Going into the play offs, I am concerned about my QB's with Brees putting up fairly low points recently and Murray being inconsistent. I have a bye this week, so I feel I am close to the title.

I have a chance to get Lamar Jackson for a late 2020 1st, late 2nd and either Ronald Jones or Diontae Johnson. It's a 1 QB league, so the value of a QB is a bit less, and I hate giving up the 2020 1st in this draft class but Jackson can be a fantasy difference maker week to week.

What would you do, go all in on the title, or stick with Murray or Brees? Also would you rather trade Jones or Johnson?

Steep price, but if it gets you a title, it will be worth it. Jones II and Johnson are toss ups long term.

The value is about right, but Murray and Brees both have pretty decent matchups in Weeks 15 & 16. Personally I'd consider just rolling with the QBs you have.

However, if you think a couple of the other contenders have stacked teams and want some cushion and go all-in with Jackson, I think it's a fine move. This really just comes down to how strong you think your competition is.

There's another thread where people are saying Lamar is worth more than Mixon in a 1QB league. If so, this is much, much cheaper than that price and should be considered a steal.

There's gonna be a ton of talent late in next year's draft, so it's hard. Still, if he keeps this up, he'll become almost impossible to acquire even in 1 QB.

That is cheap for Lamar even in 1 QB IMO. I personally wouldn't consider trading him away for that. I would keep rojo but think both are junk.

I'm not doing this in a 1QB format. I love Lamar but I think people's valuations of him are off the charts.
TEAM 1
Dynasty PPR 1QB (12 Team League)

QB - Fields, Pickett, Howell.
RB - Gibbs, R. White, Swift, Javonte Williams, Charbonnet, Allegier, Tank Bigsby, Penny, Mack.
WR - Nacua, Dell, Hollywood, Jameson Williams, Burks, Mooney, Atwell, Melton, Phillips, Washington, Lazard, Gage.
TE - Ferguson, Mayer, Knox.
DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 1.13 (extra pick), 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.
RB - Walker III, R. White, Montgomery, Singletary, R. Jones, Mack, Hull, Sermon.
WR - Adams, Higgins, Watson, Meyers, Gabe Davis, W. Robinson, Dotson, Raymond, ARob.
TE - McBride, H. Henry, B. Jordan, Bates, B. Hopkins.

Rookie Picks: 2.14 and 3.14.

I’d do it. You can probably recover the 1st after the season by dealing 1 or both of Murray/Brees.
