And Cowherd said Giants.
We'll see, he'll definitely get a job somewhere.
Who else could they bring in? Mike McCarthy.ravn88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 6:28 pmExcatly.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 5:33 pmI don't know. He will probably have to settle for a co-ordinator gig. At least for a bit. Although it would be a Redskins-esque move to throw a ton of money at him.
There have been a lot of mumblings about Marvin Lewis popping up again.
I think Dallas looks to make the splash hire with Urban Meyer or Lincoln Riley
The Cowboys need (NFL)experiens IMO, Ron brings that.
Who else could they bring in ? Rex Ryan ?
Mike Tomlin, Sean Payton, BB, Pete Caroll wont go anywhere.
Have their ever been a situation where a better franchaise say Dallas traded/bought/took a Coach from a lesser team ?djeternal2 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 1:26 pmWho else could they bring in? Mike McCarthy.ravn88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 6:28 pmExcatly.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 5:33 pm

It wasn’t really a trade for Belichick. The Jets received a 1st as compensation from the Pats for signing Belichick away from them.
I was hearing the John Harbaugh trade rumors a ton last year. That was of course before Baltimore started playing well. It sounded like a decent idea at the time, although as a fan I knew he was a valuable coach. I just wasn't sure how long it would take to get the team back up and running. Wasn't long. Glad they kept him aroundPhaded wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 4:04 pm I remember there was rumblings that some teams were trying to trade for Harbaugh as well.
I doubt a coach trade will happen, they are exceedingly rare and hasn't been done in a bit over 15 years.
If Dallas is truly looking for an experienced coach, the three biggest options I see are Rivera, McCarthy, and Lewis.
Dallas has a loaded roster, so their lack of success is pretty astounding. They are 0-5 against teams with a winning record this year. Jones basically confirmed that Garrett is as good as gone too.
Say whaaat? I love what Zimmer & Spielman are doing. Keepers.
If Garrett were getting fired it would have happened already, they're on an extended week which would have given extra time for the new coach to adjust to the role. They wouldn't/couldn't bring in a new coach from the outside in midseason anyway, he would have little to no familiarity with the staff and system already in place and no time to implement their own. Plus Rivera is going to be in demand when hiring season opens up and could have multiple teams wanting to hire him and drive his price up, while there's no other competition right now. Rivera also gets some extra time off from the grind of being an NFL HC and gets a chance to recharge and prepare for his next job. At the end of the day it just doesn't make sense for either side to make a move like this, and will both be better off waiting until after the season.
Aikman mentioned Norv Turner during the game today.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 6:42 pm Wonder who the OC will be in Washington if Rivera goes there.
From the sound of it, Mike McCarthy is the favorite to land the Panthers job, though it's hard to determine how good that will be with their QB situation in flux.
