Ekeler/DParker for a playoff push...EDIT, new options

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Ekeler/DParker for a playoff push...EDIT, new options

Postby Generic Username » Tue Dec 03, 2019 10:00 am

2 players with enough question marks in their to depress overall value. Would a 1.07-1.10 plus early 2nd be a fair price to offer?

ETA new options -

Give: Kerryon + 2 2020 1sts (each from a playoff team)

Get: Ekeler + K Golladay

-or-

Give: KJ + 2 firsts

Get: L Bell + Sutton

Ekeler >= late 1st
Parker >= early 2nd

I think your offer is in the ballpark, but you may need to add to get it done. It's worth sending as a opening offer though.

Agreed, fair offers but you may have to add.

Parker has never lived up to his hype, but he is really the only healthy wr and a Fitz will target him early and often. He could be putting up 100 yards and a td each week. I’d almost prefer him over a Ekler right now. I’d offer up then2nd for him and see what he says.

Well since I'm the only one that thought Parker was worth a mid 2nd a month ago when everyone else said 3rd or not worth a draft pick I think the 2nd is fair for Parker , I don't think he will be doing this next year because he is a product of his team right now , but he is a talented WR anyway.

Ekeler I think the 1.07-1.10 is a fair gamble partly because MG might be gone next year and if he is then Ekeler is a top 5-7 RB , But if MG does stay Ekeler is still a pretty solid RB2/3 in that offence.

i wouldnt have high faith in them now, and zero faith later.

if im willing to spend 2020 firsts i want a real dynasty asset or if its a rental it better be someone with a very safe high end workload.

Interesting thread. Didn't realize some leagues had Trade windows still open this late in the season. Wow. My league deadline was Nov 14th, arguably a tad early I'll admit.

Question for the forum: Is this common?

Questions for the OP:

Can playoff teams trade with non-playoff teams?

When is the trade deadline? Like, if you get to the Championship can you simply pay a boatload to pick up players with great matchups to bring home the trophy?

Wow, just can't wrap my head around this. Lol. Carry on.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023 :cry: , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt. :lol:

No, most of my leagues have a Week 12 or Week 13 deadline. I have one league where trading is open through the playoffs, and I hate it.

Trade deadline is kickoff of tomorrow’s TNF game. It is the latest deadline of all my leagues, but in the 4 years I’ve been in there’s been no issue with it in terms of non playoff teams dumping.

Now, what do you think of the proposal? :wink:

Ekeler is the 4th RB in my league scoring system year to date, and Parker is 19th for WRs. Clearly that's good production and the price would be good for you if you felt these stats would continue for 1-3 years for this pair. I tend to agree with the sentiment of some above though that you may regret the move if it doesn't bring home the title. In other words, I'm a bit skeptical that Ekeler remains an RB1 next year and Parker a high end WR2 but that is just my 2 cents.
