Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
I started Diggs.
But my other WRs were Lockett who was fine with 13.5 points, and Cooper + Juju who put up a combined 3 points. Lost the week by 6.5 points.

Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
You suggest only mediocre, to bad team started him. Have you ever played in a 16 team league that requires ten starters? 10 Team league that starts seven is not in the same galaxy. I know it was an exaggeration, but in most formats Diggs was a 2nd round startup pick this off season. 3rd at worst.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 1:12 pmLol fair enough. It was an exaggeration anyway.ToddFarthouse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 12:41 pmI’d be surprised if 95% of owners had him benched. Not everyone is in a 10 team that only starts 7.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 11:24 am Yes, despite the fact that probably 95% of Diggs owners had him on the bench (me included), it was very nice to see. And I say that as an Eagles fan lol.
Hopefully he (and the Vikings passing offense along with it) can string together a few good games in a row, but I'm not holding my breath on that just yet.
I suppose there are still plenty of mediocre-to-bad teams out there that had no choice but to start him.

Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
As a Eagles fan, you should have known he was a pretty obvious start in that game. Eagles secondary has been trash and their run D is top notch. I started him in a 10 team league with a solid WR group for the first time in about 3 weeks.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 11:24 am Yes, despite the fact that probably 95% of Diggs owners had him on the bench (me included), it was very nice to see. Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
I have 0 shares of Diggs and have never really been a fan - however I am quite happy for the Diggs owners who followed the advice of those that preached patience because he is now a low end WR1 again in ppr it seems. That could drop to a high end WR2 once bye weeks are all evened up - but the fact remains that he is back in the conversation.
One of the toughest things for many owners - is to practice being patient, and Diggs certainly gave owners an opportunity to practice that
After Week III
WR 66 in PPR
6-101-1 = 22.1 points
Weeks IV-VII
WR 3 in PPR (excluding MNF)
24-461-3 = 89.90
Overall (excluding MNF)
WR 10 in PPR
30-562-4 = 112

Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
Diggs just seems like more of a bestball superstar than traditional fantasy top WR. In non-bestball leagues I would not want him has my #1 WR, I would be alright with him as my #2, and would be ecstatic with him as my #3. He's just going to be very up and down with big weeks and no shows and that gets very frustrating when you are looking for someone you can rely on for at least 10-12 points every week.
Re: What are you guys doing with Diggs?
I will keep this in mind for next season when I do my Bestball redrafts.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 8:18 am Diggs just seems like more of a bestball superstar than traditional fantasy top WR. Re: Stefon Diggs Thread - What do do with Diggs?
Took a bit to find this... but I stumbled across something while looking up stats today. Diggs is currently sitting at WR21 without having played yet this week. He's currently sitting at 14th in yards, 20th in TD's... but he's 52nd in targets with 65 so far. Let me say that again, 52nd. As in 52.
This is almost Tyler Lockett territory. If he would ever get a full compliment of targets I think he could be absurdly productive.
And on a different note, I hate how he is constantly showing off. I'd love it if he took a page out of the Fitzgerald/Calvin playbook where they get up like playing great is normal for them.

Re: Stefon Diggs Thread - What do do with Diggs?
He had about 1/4 of his total fantasy points on the year so far and scored 3 of his 5 TDs this year in week 6 against the Eagles, that one monster performance greatly increased his "efficiency".Shcritters wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 8:34 pm Took a bit to find this... but I stumbled across something while looking up stats today. What? I think you are thinking of a different word than "efficiency".bjd5211 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 9:29 pmHe had about 1/4 of his total fantasy points on the year so far and scored 3 of his 5 TDs this year in week 6 against the Eagles, that one monster performance greatly increased his "efficiency".Shcritters wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 8:34 pm Took a bit to find this... but I stumbled across something while looking up stats today. Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Re: Stefon Diggs Thread - What do do with Diggs?
He said he was approaching Tyler Lockett territory, and there was a big discussion here a bout how Lockett had one of the most efficient WR seasons ever. His argument was based on Diggs putting up big numbers on a relatively small number of targets and receptions, which when looked at as a whole give the impression of him being efficient. When you break it down to look at his game by game basis you can see he has not been efficient, he's just gone off a couple of times. It's why I put "efficiency" in quotes, because I don't think he's been efficient at all, he's just been boom or bust.ColdZealDonkeyStrike wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:55 amWhat? Re: Stefon Diggs Thread - What do do with Diggs?
13th in Passing Yards and 29th in Passing Attempts, pretty crazy Diggs had 150 targets last year and even with Thielen out most of the year, he may only get to 100 in 2019.
For the weird state MIN's offense feels like it's in over the course of this season...isn't the end of the world.

Well, they can also actually run the ball now. Something they haven't been able to do.
Re: Stefon Diggs Thread - What do do with Diggs?
I do not have any Diggs shares but I am a little disappointed by this past week - mainly because I wanted 1 team to beat another team - giving me a more favorable playoff schedule in a league - and Diggs performance, or lack of such, meant they lost by 2 points. Ah well!
