Not worried long-term, but I'm not sure he'll help my title run much this year.

The Giants had some OL injuries against the Jets, and in general they have a poor line. Plus the ankle injury has really slowed him down. But I don't question his talent with the ball in his hands, we already seen what he is capable of.

However, I am concerned with his piss poor pass blocking. He has become a liability in pass protection. If he doesn't improve it, I do see that hampering his top tier potential.

It is strange how far he's degraded in that category. I assume (hope) it's due to the ankle.

My team is toast this year; I'm trying to acquire him. If the Saquon owner in your league is in position to win it all, this is the time to make a big offer for him. He looks like he'll be hurt/shut down/on an awful team the rest of the year.

If anyone cares, I got him, a 2020 3rd and a 2021 2nd for Keenan, Henry, and Mack. This is a keep 9 and I had way too many to keep. Probably an overpay in a true dynasty but how often do you even get a buy-low window for a guy like Saquon?

Wonder if this means he ever gets downgraded to a Kamara role (Still a nice place to be) if they maybe trust another guy to block more. Wish I had made an offer before the deadline, but even if I had, likely Chubb+1st+Juju gets rejected instantly due to bad year Juju is having and Chubb being downgraded to an RB2 by Hunt.

I own Barkley in a couple of leagues and if an owner offered me Chubb, Juju & a future 1st I'd likely accept. However I can see why other owners may decline due to recency bias.

I'd likely accept that as well, but that's largely a product of having holes at WR in the two spots I own Barkley.

X2

His ankle injury will be a blessing in disguise because Giants couldn’t run him into the ground with their current crap team.

If he tears his ACL this coming July, I'm pretty sure he'd still be a late 1st startup pick in August. Dude'd value is MAJORLY insulated considering he's a RB

How insulated is SBs value... Just look at Ladanian Tomlinson, who still carries a 3rd round rookie pick valuation.

I get the sense that a lot of us (Barkley owners) are hopeful that the return of Eli Manning will see an increased role for Barkley in the passing game.

Which is interesting, because Daniel Jones has been better than many of us would have expected as a QB (imho).

I think Barkley & Kamara have the same issue ... high ankle sprain. No skill position player is ever the same player until the next year.

Which has been a negative for Barkley's receiving numbers because he buys more time with his legs to get something further down field or run himself, Eli doesn't have that ability so he quickly looks to dump it off to Barkley. That is something Jones will have to do better with next year, it will both protect Jones from holding the ball too long and getting stripped and be extra opportunities for their best player to make a play in space.
