Sigh. This got posted in my league chat pretty quickly. Not that I'm trying to sell low on him, but I genuinely think I wouldn't even be able to get any kind of 2nd for him right now.

I'm still optimistic on him as a player when he's healthy. So I'm just going to assume he's essentially done for 2019, and expect him to be a RB2 in 2020.

Bit of an over simplification. LT, Faulk and Priest Holmes are responsible for 6 of the 7 or 8 greatest fantasy seasons of all-time, and they were 27+ in their peak seasons, and AP rushed for 2,000 yards at 27. RBs have the shortest shelf life of any position sure, but they don't necessarily just fall off a cliff at 25.

drake arrived yesterday, johnson knows the offense. that and him being banged up and it doesn't seem that much of an issue if drake is taking 1st team reps.

Because his value has absolutely plummeted. This offseason you could have gotten close to 1st round startup value for him. Now he's going to be 28 years old coming off an incredibly disappointing season. He'll never touch that kind of value again.

So, is it just Drake has fully passed David Johnson on the depth chart. And with Drake flashing the first game against 49ers, they didn't want to get their change of pace back (DJ) involved to see if Drake could hit that stride again?
