Big trade before deadline

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big trade before deadline

Postby Prison_Mike » Fri Nov 08, 2019 9:11 am

Team 2 (not competing)

Owner and I are discussing this trade ahead of the deadline (he's competing, I'm not)

Give: Melvin Gordon + 2020 1st (mid)
Get: OBJ + Tre'Quan + 2020 3rd (mid)

NOTE: I edited this trade. I removed Boyd from "give" & Ingram from "get"

Thoughts?

No go. I like MGII and TB as building pieces better than I do OBJ and Trequan.
Thanks,
Nick

Appreciate the response

What if Boyd & Ingram were removed from the trade?
(I think he'd prefer that anyway)

feel like its not buying low on obj which is what i would think the goal is. idk id be pissed if that pick ended up being lamb/shenault/dobbins and gordon keeps a starting role the next few years. id be trying to work it with a couple second rather than a 1st to send with gordon. even asking hypothetically "would you do it with 2 2nds rather than the 1st?" and then going and acquiring another 2nd to get it done wouldnt be a bad idea, worth a shot at least
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

Thanks, I like that idea
My initial offer was Gordon + Slayton + 2020 2nd for OBJ

He's interested in Boyd too (who I'm learning that most value at a 2nd)
Might be able to pull off Gordon + Boyd for OBJ(+) and avoid giving up picks altogether

I have one other deal in place to acquire another 2020 1st but it would involve giving up my 2nd

Hesitant to sell Boyd but if it gets me OBJ as my WR3 AND allows me to add another 2020 1st, I might consider it

If you give up Gordon and your 1st you don't really have a way to fill your 2nd RB spot, you'll be putting a lot of faith in Sanders, which I don't have right now. I'd rather keep Gordon and snag a young RB/WR with that 1st round pick you kept.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

2022: 1,2,3,4

Shoot I forgot to update my signature. I also have Guice
But your point stands, and it's exactly what I told him when he initially asked for the 1st

I will likely have another 1st shortly (another trade that's been verbally agreed upon)
But I'd rather give up a WR than the 1st and then use those two 1sts on either 2 RBs or 1 RB / 1 WR

After your edit, no way I'm doing that deal. Not quite sure what people see in OBJ for the future, but I'm not a believer.
