I offered him the following trade:

Goff + Drake
for
Guice

He countered with:
2020 1st (currently 1.01) for Guice

He was trolling, because he immediately took to the group chat and said: "send me an offer when you're serious"

Was this really that far off?

But calling me out in the group chat when I made a reasonable offer for a guy who is certainly talented, but carries a lot of risk? C'mon

Haha, not insulting at all . . . but you have to understand that anyone who has held Guice this long likely values him at near-Saquon levels given all the hype, disappointment, hype, disappointment, etc. OK, not really near Saquon but I've found most Guice owners are currently holding him with a vice-grip (while praying desperately).

I however am a non-Guice believer (due to knee, not ability) and would have kindly accepted your offer.

Yep, I'm learning that this is the case with most owners. This isn't the first time it's happened with this owner either
Earlier in the season I sent him:

Parris Campbell + Royce + an early 2020 2nd for Guice (which was arguably an overpay)
He countered with (x2) 2020 1sts for Guice

Overvalue your players all you want, but don't call guys out in the group chat unless someone is frequently sending you TERRIBLE offers lol
