Another trade I just sent over:
Give Cooks
Get Mike Williams and pick 13 (0-8 team so pretty sure of the pick I'm getting)
Probably won't go through but it's time to try and move Cooks.
You'd be lucky to get that much in return. I've been trying to sell Cooks for players like Paris Campbell or Andy Isabella or a future 2nd and nobody seems to want him at the moment. Might have to wait until he comes back in a few weeks to regain some value.

Has there ever been any discussion on the league forcing retirement on guys who have a certain amount of concussions? Did i read this somewhere or am i making this up? 5 concussions really is time to call it a career, i know he is only 26 and if i were in the same shoes it would be hard for me to hang em up, but he has absolutely got to be thinking about it, and should probably just do it. Retiring early is the way of the NFL now and im on board and get it. The league can only do so much to keep this inherently violent game "safe", and SOME of what they are doing ruins the sport quite frankly. Im pro player totally but some of the responsibility should be on the individual player to retire when it is just not safe to play anymore, it shouldnt all be on the league to try and fix the game and make it "safe" when it is almost impossible to. Just a sad situation all around and extremely complicated obviously in a sport like this.

The concerns are legit, but I would not panic-sell. I would just hold if I had him. I definitely won't buy unless I'm only giving up a Parris Campbell type, but I don't think you should sell for that.
Davante Adams had 2 in a month in 2017, and they were his 3rd and 4th of his career. Everyone was rightfully fretting about his career being in danger, but he hasn't had one since. Obviously, every situation is different, but this situation could play out the same way.

He's seeing a head specialist. If retirement is the right move, then I would assume the head specialist will tell him. We have no idea if it's a long-term concern or a series of flukes at this point. I'd have to be a Dr. and have to have examined him to know that.

I feel like he should retire, as a completely unbiased fan.
We've seen a few players do it already - but with this many concussions he needs to think of the long term consequences.

With all we know now about head injuries, concussions, CTE, etc as it pertains to football; I don't think any head specialist would ever say football is the right choice for anyone. In fact I think most head specialists would tell you to avoid playing football all together.

Pretty much this. I've always liked the guy. Great attitude and team player. I've had him in both my dynasty leagues since his rookie year. I miss seeing him get those 97 yard TD's from Brees back in the day. Obviously heath comes first but I think we'll be seeing more of Cooks in the NFL.

I see him as going down the same path as Jordan Reed.

At some point, even if asymptomatic, its going to look bad for the NFL if he continues to play and gets more concussions.

Traded him away for Nkeal + Ballage + 2020 first before the start of the season. Thanking my lucky stars i did that now since it is looking like his career could be winding down.

As an aside the way people have just completely ignored Adams' concussion problem throughout his whole career has been interesting to me.

Apparently Wide Receivers, Tight Ends and/or Cornerbacks may be the 3 positions most at risk for concussions.

This just seems like a panic sell. I'd rather hold and take the chance he retires then sell for that. Very glad I sold him in one league for late 1st + J. Gordon + D. Harris last week. Felt like maybe a sell low at the time, but glad to not be holding that risk on both teams.
