Njoku Trade

Postby DLF_TylerK » Sun Oct 20, 2019 7:30 am

Given the struggling state of my TE position for my team in sig, I decided to trade for David Njoku. I literally tried every higher ranked TE and was told no, so I settled on the following deal. Njoku gets the Bengals and Cardinals in week 14 and 15, so he could make a difference for me in the playoffs and long term. Thoughts?

Give: 2 2020 3rd, 2021 2nd (all likely early)
Get: David Njoku

I didn't think he was expected back this season. 2 3rds and a 2nd seem cheap for a starting TE but wouldn't count on anything this season.

He's eligible to return in week 12 and the Browns and Njoku have stated they expect him to return this season. I'm not counting on it, but the way I kinda saw it is that it's fair if he doesn't return but it could be a big win for me if he does. Howard and Fant are nice long-term but neither is doing anything this season.

Great value regardless of whether he returns this season or not, he’s a stud and you gave up virtually nothing.

Good price for the upside.
