Kelce v Ekeler+

Hi All

I did a dispersal in a 14 team league this year and wound up going for it more than I planned as the devy guys went early. 20 devy players can be rostered across the league so all of the big names are taken.

Its a 14 team PPR superflex where we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex, SFlex.
I'm currently 5-1 and leading the league in points

I need te help bad and was offered Kelce for my Ekeler, Josh Oliver and 2021 1st.

I think normally this is an easy call especially with the pick a year away and devy depleted, but man Ekeler looked good and I could use that going forward if he gets the job after Gordon is gone. Kelce hasn't been himself this year but hopefully that changes with Hill being a consideration for defenses now.

Am I just overthinking this?

If you are not contending this year, I would consider holding your side here. Wait to see what happens with Gordon and if the Chargers being anyone in and then revisit in the off season. I may be in the minority though. This will also let you see how Kelce progresses once Mahomes gets healthy.

Yeah I wouldn't be considering it I don't think if I wasn't competing, but I'm currently 5-1 and first in points scored. I have finished top 3 in points scored every week.

I'd take Kelce pretty quickly here since you're 5-1. He'll help you compete, and even if you somehow miss the playoffs, you can likely sell Kelce then for just as much, if not more than what you're paying now.

I'd pay that for Kelce as a contender. I like Ekeler and think he has a good shot at being the starter next year (or at least the lead guy in a committee), but Kelce is a stud and getting the top TE in fantasy isn't easy to do.
