Derrius Guice trade value?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Derrius Guice trade value?

Postby Han » Thu Oct 17, 2019 5:58 am

Looks like they are saying Guice will be playing again in week 11. With the Skins moving to a more run based offense I'm hoping to get him from his current owner. What do you think he is worth? As of now I'm projected to finish in the top 1/3 so picks would be later.

Late 1st round pick? Late 2nd round pick + someone like Will Fuller?

Thanks

Fuller could likely be swapped straight up for him with a lot of owners.

I'd pay a late 1st for him though, if I had to go that route.

A late 1st seems fair based on potential, but not sure many would pay that right now.

As a guice owner, I would not trade him for a late 1st or someone like Fuller + 2nd.

At this point I've invested an early 1st and 1.5 years into him, i'm going to wait and see what he does the next 1.5 years unless I'm offered an early 1st or player of that value.

Any 2020 1st is worth more than Guice in my opinion. I don’t know if I would trade him for Fuller and a 2nd, but I would take any offer that included a 2020 1st. I don’t see anyone paying that though.

I wouldn't pay more than an early 2nd for Guice at this point, but I'm assuming most Guice owners would still need a 1st to sell. Honestly I'd rather have Fuller > Guice. I'd try Parris Campbell for Guice straight up.

I'd pay Fuller straight up and maybe even add a late 2nd if that's what it took.

AAAAAAND this is the crux of the problem. Guice has been injured and in the short time he was healthy, looked lost. You want to send an offer of Fuller + 2nd as a dart throw? Fine, but that's a risk. Then you have the side that picked him up at 1.3, and even though he's lost value, they're holding out hope, as they should. The only thing worse than sitting on this bum for 1.5 years after coughing up an early first is to do that, trade him for chump change, and watch him turn into a fantasy star. He's not worth what you would offer and any fair offer would be crazy for the Guice offer to accept. Catch 22

I just traded the 1.10 for him, i primarily needed RBs heading into the draft because after the Melvin Gordon Trade, I pretty much only have Denver RBs. Grabbed swift at the 1.04 and traded the 1.10 for Guice.

Think that is about his value since from the 1.10 to the 2.06 is all the same tier of player in my opinion rn.

Guy ended up taking gibson with the 1.10 so thats what he was thinking.

2nd. I was never that high on him, and he's already promoting the new Washington Football Team logo be a red cross. Always hurt, and a guy that runs that way, with knees already that bad at this point, I only expect more of the same.

I have him, but I got him late in startup 2 years ago. I wouldn't trade for him and I haven't ever had an offer for him. He might be on the Lattimore plan. He don't produce this year, he gone!

I would rather take the pick in this stacked class than buy a RB who can't stay healthy personally. I would want to pick any of those second group of WRs over him personally but I am very low on him as you can tell.

Looking at adp the earliest pick that I’d move for him would be 15 or 16.
