Winston vs Darnold

Would you give up Winston for Darnold? And would this be a straight forward trade across or add picks? Thanks.

This is easily Darnold imo. Younger, more secure QB future (Jets are gonna be keeping him around for a while, not sure about TB), and I think more talented (atleast in not throwing ints)

Darnold for me as well. Could be a straight up deal since Darnold has missed time and and has limited stats to look at.

Tough call. Quoting an article:

"With regards to contracts, Winston and Marcus Mariota are in an unprecedented situation. Before this year, no first-round quarterback drafted under the 2011 CBA had played on his fifth-year option."

So Winston was good enough to have his 5th year option picked up...but not good enough to be extended early like many franchise QBs. There is a risk, albeit perhaps small, that he plays on a new team next year and has to learn a new system. There's risk there.

I'm with others here and would want Darnold. But I'll admit my risk averse bias (having been burned by holding AB for too long, for example). Winston has a very high ceiling but with a cloudier future than anyone would have expected at this point in his career.

I'm pretty sure he could start somewhere. Miami, Washington (depending on Haskins development), Denver, cinci (depending on QB development), Tenn. Basically I could see all these teams just swapping their QBs for 1-2 year prove it/bridge deals.
