2020 pick 6-10 or Chris Carson (14 teamer .5ppr)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2020 pick 6-10 or Chris Carson (14 teamer .5ppr)

Postby johnnymozart » Fri Oct 11, 2019 7:42 am

14 teamers I believe RB are more important than WR (we only start 2 and 2 with one flex, not 3 WR spot like a lot of leagues) and Carson has been a beast. I know the fumbles were bad, but his tackle breaking has been unreal. However, I'm also a proponent of the 2020 draft and my roster is extremely young as it is. I'm sitting at 3-2 and went through 5 of the real teams (there's about 4 teams that are putting up 70 pts a week that are tank/rebuilding that I face over the next 5 weeks) and Carson's schedule is pretty nice-- I also have Penny.

I have two 1st rounders in 2020 and he wants one of them. Both are very similar and should land between 6 and 10th next season (not legit contenders, but actual rosters that won't finish bottom barrel. Would you take Carson or the pick here? I would send the one more likely to land around 7th,8th. My team is set up to compete and is currently 2nd in points, WR lacking but they're getting by. Team in sig. Thanks for help.

I think I would hold the 1st based on your wr's. Your team is decent, with good building blocks but probably not a true contender. Add another helpful piece with the 1st next year.

With your team, I think you should hold and go bonkers in a loaded 2020 WR class. Chubb will be there next year, as will Kerryon, Woods should be your WR3, not your WR1. The issue for this year is that even if you win out, you'll still be facing those tough teams you already beat. Can you beat them with that squad? You have a good, young team, but I'm not sure that this is the time to push all in.

I think this is right about where his value is. All depends on how strong of a contender you believe you are. I paid a similar price pre-season as I felt I needed him to shore up my RBs.

possibly.
but what WR can you get with the same first? do you think you could get a better WR using carson instead of a 1st?

how about moving both firsts to win?

regardless, unless you get a very sweet deal, wait until after those 5 easy games and then reassess your needs/chances.

I’d rather hold the picks as i don’t think carson pushes you over the edge for competing.

What are peoples value on carson? A 2020 pick 6-10 basically?
I'm rebuilding and considering trading him. Why are ppl low on him but think Chubb is worth 2-3 1st? That much difference?
Team wise, Carson couldn't be in a better spot.
