DJ Chark value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

DJ Chark value

Postby SteveMaddensShoes » Thu Sep 19, 2019 7:05 am

What kind of value are you putting on Chark? What would you buy and sell for? Trying to put together an offer.

Also looks like I might have better luck buying in 3 or 4 weeks since he has some very tough matchups on paper.

I'm guessing it would take at least a 2nd to buy him.

A 2nd was my thought. As a Chark owner I wouldn’t move less than that. I think if you can buy for less than a 2nd then do it but if you cannot then I’d wait. The only risk you run is if he does well over those 3-4 weeks in which case he may work himself into a late 1st conversation.

I'm surprised people aren't higher on Chark after the first four games... he's a sophomore breakout with decent draft pedigree and a solid athletic profile. He's showing... what else do we want from the guy? I think the slow adjustment to Chark offers a buy window. Buy Chark while everyone is trying to buy Mclaurin who is a year older than him.

Chark is 6'4, 198 lbs and in his 2nd year. He is number 10 in wr points in a ppr league. I understand there are studs who have not done much yet, but I would not sell for less than a 1st. I would not buy for a first at the same time...so its one of those situations that a player would need to be involved....for me.

This is more along the lines of what I have experienced. I reached out in a couple of leagues and both owners said that they would not sell for less than a 2021 1st. I understand that from the seller's perspective, but that is a little too rich for me at this point.

I packaged Chark and my 2020 3rd for a 2020 2nd and Corey Davis. I broke it down like I got a 2nd for Chark and paid a 3rd for Davis.

That’s exactly the type of deal I’ve been considering.

I acquired him today for a 2020 should be 2.09-2.12 in superflex. In win-now mode and needed a WR. I may have added a dart throw WR but accepted what was offered.
