Is AB droppable in dynasty at this point?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is AB droppable in dynasty at this point?

Postby Tripwired » Fri Sep 20, 2019 2:06 pm

I just can't see any team signing him for at least the rest of this season. Best case scenario for AB would be if his legal troubles somehow got cleared. And maybe next year someone signs him at the age of 32. I don't see that happening though. I figure more and more accusations will surface. So, is he hot garbage.... cut worthy for dynasty?

I just grabbed him for a 3rd round in a devy league which is basically nothing since my pick is late. I wouldn’t drop him. If you’ve held on to him through all this madness then might as well ride it out before dropping him.

I didn't think he'd get signed after the Raiders released him, so who knows. Circumstances are obviously different and much worse now, but I'd still hold and hope for any form of positive news and sell for whatever I can get. I do think he's done though.

Well, at this point it'd be a dart throw at rb or wr. Jamal Williams or Dionte Johnson. Nothing sexy on the waiver wire at the moment. I was thinking more like in the coming weeks. If there's a waiver wire hero that pops up in the foreseeable future should I hold AB and cut someone that's capable of producing, or cut AB who's just taking up space?

I’d try to sell for whatever possible, I do think he’s done. Unless there’s an absolute gem on waivers I’d hold and see if anything develops though.

I'm surprised Diontae Johnson isn't already owned.

I'm going to plant A. Brown on my bench next to Andrew Luck...
There is always Washington or some other team that will want him. You have to wait it out for now to see what happens.

Oh my God don't drop AB. This is the same bleep y'all did with Hill. You hold you hold and you hold. Don't sell AB right now or cut him that's dumb unless your moral high horse is more important than your fantasy team

I'm not judging him in any way. I'm just worried he'll get Ray Riced or Kaepernicked by the league because of the NFLs image concerns.

i'm pretty sure he's done. given the fiasco in pitt, he goes to a "high-class" org with gatekeepers and he lasts less than two weeks, knowing that he won't get paid for such antics. he get cut, and like schefter says, he's been kissed with the kiss of death. beyond (fantasy) football, i hope the man gets some help. i think he's got some real issues that must be dealt with before thinking about football again. from a fantasy standpoint, i'm fine cutting him.

I’m not sure what to think of any of his leagues troubles. If you have deep rosters I’m simply holding him for now.

No offense - but I can't see anyone daring to claim they can predict what might happen with AB at this point. As much as his situation changes unpredictably from day to day - to cut him only a day after the latest crazy event seems, well, crazy.
