Should I sell Andrews?

Should I sell Andrews?

Postby TimeWillTell » Fri Sep 20, 2019 12:49 pm

Andrews has been garnering some interest in my league. I am rebuilding, NOT contending. Best offer so far is a likely late 2020 1st for Andrews+early 2020 2nd. I'm not taking this but it got my thinking: I don't see a need to sell him despite having Hock for my team below since I already have 7 1st and 4 2nds. I'm thinking he's more valuable to me to hold either to have depth or play two TE as I wait for my WR to develop next year. Do you agree?

If you do agree with the above, what is the overpay that would get you to move Andrews?

If you think I should be selling him for the above, why?

Thanks!

Yes definitely hold him. You need a big time overpay. A first AND a WR or Rb

You already have 7 1sts, so don't sell him for a pick. If you can get a proven player that you think is worth more than Andrews, then move him. If not, stay put.

Andrews is an easy hold in my opinion. A you possibly elite TE is a big deal.

You have Hock, Andrews, and Herndon so you do have a little excess when it comes to TE. Do you think you could get a QB like Mayfield, Wentz, Jackson, or Prescott for him in your league. I would also suggest Watson, but don't think it would happen.

As a Kelce owner, I admittedly had(ve) interest in Andrews. But then I told myself to slow my roll. But maybe that says try to buy a stud and use him a part of the deal, for you likely at another position.

What WR would you see in same realm of current value? I use trade analyzers to get ideas but I think his value has increased some from what it's saying.

Someone else mentioned Watson: Watson owner has Murray and Dak also. He's actually mentioned moving Watson a couple times in last few weeks, and is awful st TE using Eifert. Idk, could happen but idk.

If you can get him to trade you Watson I would probably do it. Then you will be looking pretty good at WR and TE. Those two usually have the longest career. Then with all those picks you can focus on beefing up your RB's and WR's and you'll be set

Watson wouldn't be a bad target and sounds like it would make sense for both team, but I'd probably want something on top of Watson...not sure what though.

I somewhat agree being a 1QB league.

Looking around at teams with weaker TE: What would need added (if anything) to Andrews for like Golladay or C. Ridley or Godwin or Kupp or Cooks?

I probably wouldn't add more than a 2nd, but not sure that would get it done. If I had to add a 1st, I'd rather just hang onto him.

Andrews price goes up simply because elite TE’s are like goldust.

If looking for a WR I’d put him in the mid-WR2 bracket so a Kupp/Godwin/DJ Moore/ARob sort of player.
TEAM 1
Dynasty PPR 1QB (12 Team League)

QB - Murray, Fields, Pickett, Howell.
RB - Gibbs, R. White, Swift, Javonte Williams, Charbonnet, Allegier, Tank Bigsby, Penny.
WR - Nacua, Dell, Hollywood, Jameson Williams, Burks, Mooney, Atwell, Melton, Phillips, Washington, Lazard.
TE - Ferguson, Mayer, Knox.
DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.
RB - Walker III, R. White, Montgomery, Singletary, R. Jones, Mack, Hull, Sermon.
WR - Adams, Higgins, Watson, Meyers, Gabe Davis, W. Robinson, Dotson, Raymond, ARob.
TE - McBride, H. Henry, B. Jordan, Bates, B. Hopkins.

Rookie Picks: 2.14 and 3.14.

As an owner of Kupp, Godwin, and ARob the only one I’d trade straight up for Andrews is ARob. However I would say all 4 of these WRs is a good place to start. I’d go Kupp, Godwin, Moore, Robinson.

I'd just hold but if someone wanted to offer a random 1st + slow starting TE (OJH, Njoku, Fant, Goedert?) I'd be pretty tempted
