I think the Jackson fans are getting too excited about this one game.

He may well keep up the stellar play, but may not as weird things happen in week 1.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I don't think anyone is expecting these passing numbers week to week. But the debate was could he ever do this?

Everyone always believed in his legs no debate there but some said he'd flop because he was just a god awful passer while others said
.. hold up he is not THAT bad and can actually be quite good if a defence is forced to respect his legs.

It is seeming like if given the chance he can be an above average thrower as well

I get your point.

But one game is a very small sample size. I don't think his detractors ever said he'll never have one good passing game. While I don't think he's a flash in the pan, we have seen plenty of those, so it's ok to be wary. I'm saying temper your excitement.

Kind of regret sending him in a trade, looked better passing than I expected, still want to see how he does under pressure but passed his first test. Seems like teams will figure out ways to defend him eventually

If there was ever a case of a team forfeiting a game, this would have been it .. MIA is as bad a team as I've seen, and I lived the 0-26 Bucs.

However, Lamar showed great accuracy throughout the game, what a great primer, I am excited to watch him this year. They are definitely a contender ...

Think if I had MIA on my schedule I'd sit most of my starters and use it like a bye week :P

There absolutely was a lot of people saying hes one of the worst throwers ever. Blah blah bad mechanics. Like 90% of even know what that means.

Yes one game but it shows he CAN do it. Will he week to week? I have no idea. But at least weve seen he CAN which is the first step to DOING consistently.

My prediction is that your "kind of regret" is going to be upgraded to "Saturday morning two forties of whiskey and a tab of acid hangover" level of regret by Week 6. :D

My prediction is, he'll choose run in that rpo offense at some point before week 6 and not get back up.

Thats the danger in relying on the guy. Noone questions his leadership or ability to win games in the nfl.

I really am shocked that so many feel he showed anything from that game.

Yes its a highlight video. But go to 3.12 of the video and watch that throw. Off-platform & accurate. IMO he showed something - this is just 1 example of a QB with poise in the pocket reacting & throwing accurately.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

The td to boykin? You cant be serious? Poise in the pocket? He never even set his feet in the pocket. Drops back 10-15 yds and floats one to the back of the endzone off his back foot without ever setting.

If he had zipped it to the corner (where boykin was heading)...caught or not.... I would have been more impressed. Outside of the td to snead... I just didnt see "it" (in terms of his arm) like the rest.

Clearly just my opinion, but i think brown is the reason we are where we are today with lamar. The slant gets broken up or brown tackled, and/or he doesnt run under the bomb....and there really was nothing to see outside of the td to snead. (Which i thought was a fantastic throw)

Anyone who is arguing against Jackson didn't watch the tape of this game. Jackson has evolved. His first instinct is not run. He stands in the pocket and he was dropping dimes all game. When they unleash his running ability to go with it he's going to be hard to stop. People were arguing he had no accuracy before.

No, I don't own him anywhere

Lol Lamar got lucky that Brown ran under the ball... Ok

Sidenote: why does everyone throw out the injury concern with Lamar like it's a foregone conclusion? I saw Watson get hit a ton Monday night and thought he might get injured. Yet, no one mentions a word about injury with him

Oh well I'm not here to convince anyone
