Survivor Week 1
Not so much dynasty, but I’ve seen it here before. Please delete/move if needed.
What’s the general consensus week 1? I have 2 picks and am thinking Chargers at home against Indy and Seahawks at home against Cincy.
For those that have multiple picks - how comfortable do you have to be to use the same time for each pick?

I have Seattle over Cincy. Although I don't normally pick a road team--I have Ravens over Fins as my second choice--I just can't see Miami putting up the horses to beat Baltimore--

Re: Survivor Week 1
1st weeks are always scary. I'd go with a proven home field advantage and take Seattle.

Re: Survivor Week 1
Seattle will most likely be the chalk pick and the one I will roll with. But I could see taking Baltimore and also Philly hosting the Skins.
Re: Survivor Week 1
Seattle at home vs Cincy is the top pick.
One I'm very tempted by, but is probably too risky is Detroit @ Arizona. There probably won't be a lot of good weeks to use Detroit, and this would save better teams for later. Week 1 on the road against a potentially dangerous overhauled offense is a bit too risky though.

I did Cincy, Philly, and Chargers on my 3 contests. I am thinking one loses for sure, so diversifying.

Re: Survivor Week 1
I decided to go with Seattle and Baltimore.
Don't pick the Lions. Never bet on the Lions. Especially on Thanksgiving. You'll thank me later.

Seahawks will be the chalk, but I feel as confident (if not more) taking Baltimore. That defense was going to eat Fitzmagic, now without Tunsil...Fitz might not make it out alive.
Feels like a pretty safe pivot from a 60%+ owned chalk pick...then root on Cincy to pull off the road upset

Re: Survivor Week 1
Only problem is it's in Miami, and sometimes teams really struggle in Miami early in the season due to the heat. Week 1 is just such an unknown someetimes, you really want to go with a home team.xlur8ed wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 6:54 pm Seahawks will be the chalk, but I feel as confident (if not more) taking Baltimore. Very valid point and definitely a worthy consideration!bjd5211 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 7:25 pmOnly problem is it's in Miami, and sometimes teams really struggle in Miami early in the season due to the heat. That's probably the only sliver of hope for Miami. My eggs are all in on Baltimore, but I fault nobody on eating chalk this week.
Re: Survivor Week 1
Baltimore is still the 3rd most popular choice I think, and I am fairly confident they do in fact win. But week 1 you want to be as risk averse as possible and Seattle at home vs Cincy is a very strong bet.
Re: Survivor Week 1
Chargers/Indy honestly may be in the Colts' favor.

Eagles over Washington at home, Seattle over Cincinnati at home, and Baltimore over Miami on the road ...this is my top 3
