Malcolm Brown's Role

Postby Cherokee » Thu Aug 29, 2019 8:51 am

He has been held out all preseason. Thoughts on his role? What does this say about Henderson and Gurley? I'd think this treatment equals an actual role in 2019. Could he have stand alone value? Anyone buying? I think Gurley has about the same chance of going down as Carson or Fournette, pretty much most RBs but 8 carries and 3 targets a game to Brown would be real interesting

I picked up Malcolm Brown as my handcuff, and just as a backup in several leagues. His value is way less than Henderson, but I think he may be the one to own.

i think he's number 3 for touches in that backfield, but would be number 1 if gurley goes down.

I am leaning this way, but I think Brown might be more of a RBBC type guy.

Since things have been quiet lately with him I was thinking of sending out an offer to cover my bases as a Gurley owner. A fourth get it done? Probably not, I'm hesitant to send a second which was his asking price after week 1.

4th will be too light unless the other guy is napping, especially with Gurley sitting out today (thigh contusion).
Even if/when TG is fine, the Brown owner will probably sense some blood in the water.

The time to scoop him up cheap was during the Henderson hype fest. A second is steep, especially as a non-Gurley owner. A 3rd seems fair.
