Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
Olsen is the safest for this year production, but I'd go Waller. I think you'll know in the 1st few weeks whether he's a hit or not. If he's not you can drop him for one of those younger guys.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Olsen. When he gets hurt, get Ian Thomas.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
I feel like if Waller hits, he could make a real difference in a lineup this year. Ian Thomas would be my first choice for long term.
Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
Thomas for me... I know a lot of people have been high on Jonnu for a while as well. While I don't see it, Delanie Walker has been floated around as a cut possibility for TEN. Jonnu may see more snaps sooner than later

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
For a viable TE2 in '19, I'm going with Waller or Gesicki.
Problems with the others:
- People are stashing Thomas in what amounts to a chase after Olsen's past stats. I think TE production like that is a thing of the past in Carolina now, with Moore, Samuel, CMC all emerged/emerging.
- Same issue above broadly applies to Olsen in his career twilight now, ofc.
- Sternberger seems unlikely to be a viable TE2 in '19, sitting behind Graham.
- Warring might not do anything at all this year. He's a project, and for now Houston is happy with Thomas and Akins as stop-gap solutions at TE.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
The combination of rookie Thomas and returning from injury Olsen still put up over 60 receptions, 600 yards and 6 TDs last year. I would expect that Thomas, or a healthy Olsen, could expand on that and even that is top ten finish. Hell, they finished as TE24 & TE25 as it was in PPR last year.ninotoreS wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 6:28 am For a viable TE2 in '19, I'm going with Waller or Gesicki.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
In dynasties where I own Olsen, I also have Thomas. Can you get both?
Waller really seems to be moving up charts, I have a few shares. Like him a lot.
Gesicki isn't a bust yet, holding my shares.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
Nobody that actually covers the Titans has ever mentioned Delanie getting cut. Lots of rumors float around in the offseason and this time of year, but that is one of the most baseless and ridiculous ones I've heard this go round. Hell, his cap hit and dead cap hit are almost identical this season around 6 million.
As for the the TEs listed, I'd take a chance on Gesicki. There isnt a sure fire pecking order in Miami. Someone has to catch passes in Miami and Brian Flores watched first hand what a TE can do to teams in NE.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
Ian Thomas very easily. Shoot for the upside pick since you already have Henry as your starter. Most of those other guys will all still be available on waivers mid-season.

Re: Which deep sleeper TE?
Waller seems like the obvious choice to me. TEs typically take a while to breakout out, and this is around the time you'd expect them to. Add in all the hype he's been getting, the situation he's in, and the physical talents he's got, I'd take a chance on him. Olsen has a nice floor, but he's up there in age and we don't really know how his health is. Everyone else on the list are still pretty young and raw and probably don't have as much hype as Waller for a reason.
