One doesn't lose built up muscle mass rapidly just from not working out for a few months. It takes years of normal living, or disease, or some situation that prevents nearly all use of the muscle for a few months (e.g. a cast).

I'll assume that low quality photo is just misleading, rather than speculate he's got cancer or something.

I watch mma as well and we have seen many athletes deflate when usada and truly random "knock on your door at 8am when you don't even have a fight scheduled" testing began and popped people left and right.

NFL's PED policy has always been very favorable of the user's with a little bit of smarts

A 6'6" man like Gronk could weigh 220 with low body-fat like WRs of similar height, but the tight-end position benefits from additional non-muscle weight.

It just looks to me like Gronk hasn't wasted any time losing losing that extra weight, now that he doesn't need it. Good for him, man.

Yes, but I think it should be clarified that proper nutrition in this context means outright malnutrition; one has to be far below their basic daily caloric needs.

I don't think he's coming back. Seems he had been contemplating retirement the past 3 years and now he has done so . He's clearly off the juice and not hitting the gym, he's made more money than all of us on here combined will ever make and he still lives his celebrity goofy lifestyle
