Cohen trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cohen trade

Postby Shankopotamus » Fri Jun 28, 2019 7:49 pm

Best overall team just offered me 1.12 and 3.08 for Cohen.

Torn because I'm not a contender and could use some picks. Plus there's a lot of mouths to feed in Chitown.

What would you do?

Cohen/3.09 for his 2020 1st/1.12 would be my counter offer.

This for sure! Make sure there’s 2020 picks involved if you really want to let him go... or just hold him, young talented and I don’t see his role being reduced too much or at all.

I agree with this. Cohen is young enough and has carved out a nice role in CHI. Try the counter if you are going to get rid of him.

Two firsts for Cohen is a clear overpay imo. If you have to choose between the firsts, definitely take the 2020. I would be asking for something else of mid 2nd value in return, perhaps a young TE with high upside

Cohen is one of those that you have to let play a few games so others can see he still has a good role with the team and then trade.

No one would even give me a late 2020 1st for Cohen.

I would hold Cohen unless you can swing getting a 1st this year and in 2020 somehow

I'd much rather have Cohen than 1.12 and 3.08 this year.

This is equivalent to saying you're keeping Cohen.

Really depends on your view of Monty - can he take over all 3 downs as the narrative with him goes now? If he does, how does it not impact Cohen some? If he doesn't, well this could be a career year on tap for Cohen. Either way, he'll likely keep his RB3'ish floor value range.

In what world is Montgomery the same degree of weapon that Tarik Cohen is?

Tarik is in no danger of losing total touches, except kick return duties to cordarelle

Raise the price if that was hisnoffer and make the trade. Cohen is a cool player and super effective especially in real life, but his style of play eventually declines when offenses sway in different directions. And I'm kinda feeling like a duke johnson situation coming from Cohen. Very talented and capable but usage isn't what he or we desire. I'd sap a little more out of the other owner and move him now.

Your roster is constructed to explode (in a good way) this season. Why not move Corey Davis too right now in this deal and get another piece/player or pick? I'd include Davis if possible to add something on his side. I love trading the higher ranked teams in my league players like Davis. Most people are high on him and I think he does exactly what he's done the last couple years of not worse.
