That seems abnormally cheap for Barkley. If that trade is available I would accept it immediately.

Thanks for the responses. I felt I was giving up too much as this was verbally offered by the owner. After seeing the responses Im asking him to formally propose it. Fingers crossed he dosnt change his mind. Cheers!

This is a bad idea. That is an incredibly cheap price for Barkley. If you start asking him to add picks onto Barkley, it's going to make him think and then he's going to change his mind. And then no deal.

If the picks are superfluous and would literally be "[skip]" during the draft, I don't see how sending them back would insult the Barkley owner to the point of backing out of the trade. But I see what you are saying. Maybe the OP should approach it with caution: "Hey, by the way, I'm out of picks. To fill out my roster I'd have to wait until after the draft and pick up free agent scraps. Any chance you'd be filling to send my your ["last", "last 2"?] picks, which would theoretically get un-used? I realize you can indeed try to trade them for something...so no worries if not". Something like that maybe. Or not, if the OP has dealt with this trade partner before.

Exactly, you don't want to give this guy any more chances to risk reconsidering. If you did this and then he changes his mind on the deal you will regret it forever. You can figure out the rest of the roster and role players later, just get the game changing franchise centerpiece now and then deal with the other stuff.

I see your idea, but I’m a trade like this, it’s just not a good idea, at all.
