I'm not "punishing" him for missing the playoffs, I was never a big fan of his to begin with even when he was healthy and playing well.

As for the player comparisons I wasn't so much comparing their playing styles and abilities, but more so that they were average RBs that performed well early and soon faded away to irrelevance and I see Conner doing the same.

Fair enough - it is quite possible I misunderstood your context. I thought you meant it like that because he wasnt around come playoff time that his value was in part overrated and then of course your belief his value will fade sooner than later just reinforced it as being overrated.

One of the most challenging things with dynasty football is we sometimes have to make decisions with much less data / information / tape that we do with other sports like baseball, hockey or football. So like I said, I have no issue with your perspective. It is a risk you have to take due to the short time frame we deal with. By the time some players are proven to be elite in the eyes of many - they may already be reaching peak value or passing it (ie if your career is only 7-8 years and you need 2-3 of those years to convince owners of their value).

I’m on the other side of the fence here with Conner. His situation is ideal. The real level of compitetion for touches is minimal. He is a true three down work horse with great work ethic, clean off the field with little to no baggage, has his coaching staff and qb in his corner, has a nose for the end zone, and they are poised to run the ball more than last year. Last year the Steelers passed the ball 675 times and ran it 300 times. I fully expect those numbers to trend more toward a balanced approach and the player that will benifit from that will be James Conner. My contrarion take here is that if healthy, J.Conner (who just turned 24 years old) finishes as a top 8 fantasy producing Rb.

Considering he was RB6 in 2018 with 13 games, that seems like a very solid projection (assuming similar volume).

Yea, some people are taking him over Gordon, Nuk, Davante right after the big 4. It's not even that crazy, he's already shown the ability to be the RB1 and while he's 27 he has very little tread on his tires; and there is a massive premium on winning now placed on most Dynasty startups.

He went 1.09 before Hopkins, OBJ, and Thomas. I was quite surprised as I had 1.10 and was happy to take Hopkins.

Assuming health, 1.05 is about his ceiling. I think you got a little too happy there. No way he outscores a healthy Zeke, Saquon, or Kamara.

Neither Zeke, Saquon, or Kamara have come close to his 2016 season output. And they're certainly not still up at the 1.05
