Selling my Now, for a Future

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Selling my Now, for a Future

Postby Themissingrum » Thu Jun 20, 2019 5:19 am

I think I might be able to get N'Keal Harry for Damien Williams.

Normally it would be a definite accept, but it pretty much ruins me RB wise.
Would you go for it?

Team 1 in signature.

I don't think my chances of winning the league are great due to one team being absolutely stacked, but I am confident of playoffs at the moment.

I mean it doesn’t look like your team is incapable of winning a title.

With those small lineups, I could absolutely envision your team beating anyone else on a given week.

I have Damien as well and I think he’s going to be an excellent producer this year, enough so that we’ll get a 2020 season out of him too. The eye test alone tells me he is a decent runner but an excellent receiving back. Yeah in the end he’s a jaggy guy but he’s a jag+ in a super offense. Carlos Hyde sucks. So overrated.

Depends if you love Harry and imagine him a future elite player.

I’d stick with Williams to be honest.
14 team Dynasty: second year, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2 Flex, 1K, 1DEF. Default scoring except QB TD 6 points, INT -3 points. Bolded is roughly the base weekly lineup.

QB: Carson Wentz
RB: Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley
WR: Julio Jones, Adam Thielen, Amari Cooper
TE: Zach Ertz
K: Robbie Gould
DEF: Cowboys
Flex and Sub Options:
QB: Brady, Manning
RB: Mack, Damien Williams, Hines, Dexter Williams
WR: Edelman, Robinson, Boykin, Cain
TE: Warring, Sample
DEF: 49ers, Chiefs

2020: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd
2021: 1st, 3rd

I'd ask for a little more on top. Harry's mini camp reports are down and this is probably his cheapest point so far.
See if you can get a 2nd on top. Then go out and pick up Darwin Thompson to leverage against him down the road.

In our recent startup Williams went for about 175$ while Harry went for 60$.

I would make the deal if you can get a touch more on top. I like the deal overall though. I'm not a huge Williams believer.

Id take it pretty easily. Dwill could have a great year or 2, he could also break a bone and never be relivent again. They could draft a rb next year, the list goes on. Harry is one of the better prospects in this class. Sure, he may miss. But his value should be insulated for a few yrs.

This is selling DWill for a 2019 1.01-1.03 which I think is great value considering I would never give a 1st for him.

I personally think this is the wrong time to move Williams. Why not wait until week 3 or 4 where he is once again showing his value in that offense? I do think his window is small, but I think you can better leverage it by waiting a bit.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Harry easily here. but as others have said, the opportunity to sell even high should be there 1-3 weeks into the season (as long as he avoids an injury).

Keep Williams. RB depth is hard to come by in 16-team leagues, and it's not like you need Harry. That team is ready to contend and already has two stud WRs and three young WRs with high potential. Harry is unlikely to contribute to a title run.
