I prefer Gurley in a vacuum, but I'm not sure your team will be immediately competitive enough to capitalize during Gurley's likely arthritis-shortened window of opportunity.
10-team Superflex, 0.5 PPR, 15-man rosters, pseudo-dynasty
Keep any number of players (0-15), lose same number of draft picks
2010, 2015, 2020 - 🏆, 2013 - 🥈

QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, SF, FLEX, D/ST

QB: Dak, Watson
RB: Swift, Robinson Jr, Singletary, Brown, Hubbard, Zeus, Herbert
WR: Wilson, Olave, Pickens, Aiyuk
TE: Pitts, LaPorta

That’s true, his team probably isn’t competitive enough as it stands, but I do think there is a high likelihood that Gurley’s value within his league will skyrocket the moment he has a typical TG game early on. I think he could trade him for a lot more than what he’s giving up here, when that happens.

I don't view your team as a contender, so I would rather hold Allen/Carson and keep building for the future. If Gurley ends up having a shortened shelf life, with your build I don't think this trade makes a lot of sense.

you would be buying gurley hoping to sell for more as he doesnt fit your team at all, so its up to you if you want to risk being able to gt more back for gurley or not.

I think my team is a contender given the superflex format but I obviously am biased considering I drafted the team. I think Gurley's stock is low enough where I am comfortable buying and improving my weakest position besides TE. If he shows out in the first couple of weeks I could also consider selling him for a profit. That's just my thought process with the trade.

Gurley for me. You are trading for a WR and RB who both have has injury concerns too. Neither of those have Gurleys upside though IMO
Team #1 - 12 team 6pts all TDs PPR and 0.2 PPC. Keep Starting lineup everyone else gets thrown in for redraft
Start 1 QB,1 RB,2 WR, 1TE, 2 Flex

My Starting Lineup
QB: R. Wilson
WR: D.J. Moore
WR: Hopkins
RB: Joe Mixon
WR/RB/TE: Antonio Gibson
WR/RB/TE: Nick Chubb
TE: Dallas Goedert

Team #2 - Full Dynasty 12 Team PPR 20 player rosters

QBs: Kyler Murray, Matt Stafford
RBs: Kamara, Dobbins, Edmonds, Penny, Pollard, A. Mattison
WRs: Tyreek, DHop, AJB, OBJ, Jeudy, Denzel Mims, Bryan Edwards, Collin Johnson, Donovan People-Jones, Preston Williams, Curtis Samuel
TEs: Kittle, Goedert, Logan Thomas

I voted KA side, but I love Gurley as a buy low. Just not sure that is. I think there is a good chance this trade would work for you if Penny comes on in year 2.

I think Carson splits carries with Penny this year and Keenan loses targets with Henry and Williams stepping up. I see Gurley in a carry split at 60/40 at the worst, likely 70/30. His price is just so intriguing right now
