This was a surprisingly accurate outcome even if slightly off on the details. Glad I was high on Chubb and ended up with him in both my leagues.

Well done Johnny.

He was falling right after his draft position with Cleveland and a perceived logjam at RB. He lasted until pick #18 in my dyno draft and I pounced(didn't have a 1st).

I'm ready to talk about the possibility of Chubb truly becoming a receiving 3-down back, a la the title, when we're ready...

Seems to me there were great positives to the receiving game he flashed in year 1. Any chance there's a Leveon-esque jump coming in year 2?

He's much different than Bell. More like a Gore if we're comping previous studs.

I think we'll see a small bump this year just because he's going to be starting a full season. Hunt is an annoyance, though, for owners. He'll get noticeable touches once he's returned most likely.

Chubb has the skillset and will not always be subbed out in third downs but with Duke there and Hunt back after 8 weeks; the need to have him used ala Bell is honestly just not there. They will probably want to keep him fresher.

Come week 9; this may be the scariest backfield in the league but could be frustrating for fantasy owners.

Chubb value

Postby afrye1 » Tue Jun 18, 2019 10:28 am

A few league mates and I are discussing where Chubbs value is at this time. Every one has different opinions and they are farther apart than I imagined. What do you all say? our league is a 10 team ppr league.

Depends if you think Kareem Hunt is a serious threat to his touches or not.

I don't, so I see an elite grinder on one of the best offenses in the NFL; so he's incredibly valuable to me. I have him right below Gordon/DJ

Valuable enough to trade 4 firsts and a second for him? I thinks he’s very valuable and on the same page with you but I thinks overkill at this point.

http://mizelle.net/mfl/2019/

According to Mizelle's ADP data he is currently valued at 14th overall (2.04 in 10 team Startup), so he has significant value according to most. Now that doesn't mean he's going to rank that high (or low) for everyone as you are experiencing in your league, but ADP data is probably the best way of measuring a players value in the Dynasty community as a whole.

Chubb is awesome, but the only guy I wouldn't trade for four 2020 1sts is Saquon. Next year you could turn those four 1sts into two Chubbs.

If someone offered me 3 2020 1st for Gordon or DJ I'd let them go, too.. and I have them above Chubb. 4? I'd slam that accept button so fast I might break my finger

Haha oh god there is zero chance I’d be giving 4 2020 firsts up for him. This guys was talking 2 late firsts this year and 2 late firsts next year.

Edit: even this I think is crazy talk!!

He is somewhere in that second tier.. The 6-10 range; whatever you'll pay for that.

4 1sts is insane.
