The basic summary is that Godwins value in the dynasty community is already top 20 - he gives plenty of solid evidence on why this is so.Lord_Varys wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 1:11 pmBehind a paywall. Not too many; just the Rams, Steelers, Vikings, Falcons, and yes, the Buccaneers did it last year.

Bengals, Lions have a good history, usually GB. Houston with a healthy Fuller. DenverHottoddies wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:47 pmNot too many; just the Rams, Steelers, Vikings, Falcons, and yes, the Buccaneers did it last year.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Probably safe to add the Browns now. Idk about Denver moving forward. So that's a pretty good handful that currently support multiple WR. The other teams either have a very productive RB/TE (Philly, KC, etc) as well or just can't support anyone (BAL, TEN)NoRiskItNoBiscuit wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:18 pmBengals, Lions have a good history, usually GB. I guess roughly half the league is considered "there isnt many" (which I cant decide which I struggle with more: the grammar of that statement or what was actually said)

Top 20 WR, they have him top 50 overall (45th or 46th)Lord_Varys wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:09 amTop 20 WR or overall?

Godwin is going in the 4th of most startups right now, that I have seen.

Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Yep. If we're keeping track at home:
Winston and Fitzpatrick combined to be the QB3 last year. So, if you consistently started TB's QB, you basically had an elite QB1 every week. On top of that, they had:
- WR9 in Mike Evans
- WR24 in Adam Humphries
- WR30 in Chris Godwin
- WR41 in DeSean Jackson
- TE6 in PPG in OJ Howard
Last season, TB supported three Top-36 WR's, a TE1 and a high-level bye-week fill-in. This season:
- They have a better coach, who also runs a pass-heavy offense
- Their defense still sucks (mainly secondary)
- They have arguably the worst RB rotation in the league and will likely avoid becoming a heavy running team. Last season they were 4th in passing attempts and 22nd in rushing attempts. That's a pretty good projection for what will happen again this season.
- They lost over 200 targets in their offense
- They did not spend any significant money or draft capital on RB's or WR's.
TB may be the easiest situation to buy into right now AND they have the talent on top of it. Mike Evans is already easy money, but Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard are in prime position for big years.'
It sounds like Godwin's ADP is climbing, so buying right now is getting tougher. There was a window though where people could've bought fairly and affordably.

Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Was offered Kirk and a 2021 1st (early to mid) for my Godwin and #11.
I’m higher than most on Kirk and hate this draft class, so I’m actually considering it.

Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
I think I'd accept that offer. I like Kirk too, and moving 1.11 this year for a likely better in 2021 is appealing.Portsmouth Spartans wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 7:28 am Was offered Kirk and a 2021 1st (early to mid) for my Godwin and #11.

Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Someone bought Godwin recently in my league by paying 1.02, 2.07, LJax & Lamar Miller.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
I'm the guy who did it so I'll defend it.
It's a 10 team, 1 qb,16 keeper IDP league. 30 man rosters.
Ljax is worthless, with keepers due in a few weeks. Miller is a borderline keeper.
I'm keeping 4 rb- KJ, dj, drake, hunt. 2 qbs, Russ and dak.
Godwin is a lot more likely to see my roster as a flex than Miller or any rookies this year. I also got back his 4th/5th. Rookies often end up back in the draft next year given the limited number of keepers, and IDP as well.
12 team ppr dynasty.

Could it work out for you? Yes. Did you lose value? Yes.
