The biggest difference between TB and PIT is the TE position. I imagine Howard will get a lot more looks this year with the vacated targets. Whereas no TEs in PIT saw a drastic increase in targets last year without Bell/Bryant.

Really? I don't disagree the TE position is a difference. I would classify the biggest difference being Winston to Big Ben.

Except Godwin's just as talented as JuJu IMO.
:wall: :nono:

Not to mention that TB is not Pitt. Winston is not Big Ben. Some incredibly wishful thinking here. It isn't a bad thing if Godwin is a mid to high end wr2 people. The assumption that he passes Evens is beyond silly at this moment in time.
I understand that we are fantasy football players, and so we tend to get wrapped up in fantasy footballl output as the be all end all.

I'm just talking from a straight talent perspective, when I watch these guys play... They're different players but I don't see a huge talent difference.

New Godwin owner here. Acquired him and a 2020 2nd for D. Williams and R. Armstead (he's a Fournette owner).

I think I like his situation more than the player, but was happy to add him relatively cheap and think he can be a solid WR #2 this season.

I am a Godwin owner and I ALWAYS find myself believing the hype when I am an owner, only to be disappointed later.
“This is Devonte Parker’s year!”
“Prosise is healthy and gonna roll this year!”
“Jerrick McKinnon is gonna break out!”

I’m fairly certain this is the off-season I trade Godwin...and then I regret it later.

If Evans, Godwin and Howard are going to be as great as everyone thinks they are then that must mean Jameis is headed towards a top 10 season. Come at me. I am here to support my prince.
Jameis was averaging 270 yards/game last season, and that number is in steady increase since his rookie year. That's a lot of volume to share between 2 WR's and a TE. (And he played half games too)

He's not a good fantasy option himself because his INT:TD ratio is attrocious.

Godwin can actually run routes and get open. Parker couldn't. Don't trade Godwin. He's a buy, not a sell.

There isn't many teams that can support 2 fantasy relevant wrs. Rams might be the most obvious exception. The average for the wr2 in the league is a wr4 in fantasy. That's worth owning on a deep roster and he is young with upside but I'm not losing my panties to try and obtain him

If someone in your league is hot to trot for him and is offering a low 1st or something bonkers DO IT
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

TB has no run game and their defense is awful. They will be one of the most pass heavy teams in football. They will be able to support two good receivers and a good TE. I don't think people realize how good Godwin is yet, but they'll see in a few months.

Perhaps. But just history shows us there havent been that many wr2 that are overly productive fantasy wide recievers. But it certainly HAS been done before. TB has a better chance than most to be that anomaly this year.

Don't think it's fair to compare TB's 2019 situation to every other team, every other season. Here are some conditions that point heavily toward supporting a wr2:
  • Awful defense
  • Offensive philosophy to pass the ball a lot
  • Top-heavy WR / TE depth chart to funnel targets to a few players
  • A talented wr2
TB / Godwin check all of those boxes EASILY and OBVIOUSLY. The only major concern to me is QB play - if Jameis faceplants, who's throwing passes in Tampa?

Godwin is a 23 year-old WR who scores very well in advanced metrics (both coming out of college & in his first two seasons in the NFL) and finds himself in the above situation. I don't expect him to overtake Mike Evans, but I don't think it's crazy to envision a solid WR #2 season as his most likely outcome in 2019.
