This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Keenan Allen for TY Hilton

Postby jp4703 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 12:48 pm

I have Keenan Allen and want to trade him away for possibly TY Hilton.

What would need to be added to TY Hilton for this to be fair? I don't know why but I just haven't been a fan of Keenan Allen for some reason.

The owner that has TY is up on the clock during our rookie draft at 1.09. So I asked for TY, 1.09, 2.06 to see what he says. Deebo, AJ Brown, Fant all available. If he accepts I think I'd lean towards drafting AJ Brown since I already own Pettis.

I don't think you are going to get 1.09 and 2.06. You might get one or the other, but not both.

You are asking for way too much. KA and Hilton are pretty even. I doubt you will get anything on top of Hilton. You could try asking for the 2.06 though.

Allen and Hilton are pretty even. I could see the 2nd pick coming back to you but I highly doubt the 1st is an option.

Age is a factor here. 2.5 years is enough of a gap to warrant something extra. I think 1.09 is worth asking for but I'd settle for 2.06.

Why?... keep Allen. Hilton's value will begin decreasing soon

Discussed this exact scenario with the Hilton owner in my league (I own Allen), the most he would offer is Hilton + 2020 2nd for Allen. Given that Allen is 2.5 years younger, I didn't feel comfortable pulling the trigger.
10-team/.5 PPR/5 Pts per Passing TD. Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2FLEX (rb/wr/te)

WR: G. Wilson, B. Aiyuk, J. Waddle, T. Higgins,, Z. Flowers, Di. Johnson, K. Toney, A. Iosivas

This is blasphemous....Maybe I've just been through thick and thin with KA and never waivered in my belief in him but he's probably my favorite receiver to root for.

From a fantasy perspective I don't think it's smart to target TY for KA. Both will be scoring very similarly over the next couple of years but the TY owner isn't going to give up an arm and a leg just to get 2.5 years younger. I doubt you get a 1st on top and I don't think getting a 2nd is worth the 2.5 years of production KA theoretically could give you.

If you insist on getting out from KA then you should be looking to either do a straight up swap for KA and a better receiver that's older or look to acquire a more unproven upside player like Moore+picks
