Which Player Will Lead The Redskins WR Corps In Receiving Yards This Year? What About Touchdowns And Receptions?
Looking at their roster, it could really be anybody. I guess Jordan Reed will be the overall team leader, but he's a TE, so what about WR? Here's what they currently have.
Josh Doctson
Paul Richardson
Brian Quick
Terry McLaurin
Robert Davis
Trey Quinn
Jehu Chesson
Darvin Kidsy
Cam Sims
A bunch of rookies

Ew.
I guess I'd pick Doctson, but man, that's not a strong WR corps at all. Not sure who to own out of any of those players.

Assuming he is healthy I would say Paul Richardson gets the most yards....This really might be one of those cases where nobody gets more than 800 yards though and it gets spread around a ton. I wouldn't pay much for anybody on this offense. Reed could be a good bargain this year though as people might be fed up with him and looking to unload.

You're probably looking at Richardson/Doctson and a combo of Quinn/McLaurin as the starting WR corps of WAS. Like others have said, I'd like to put my money on Richardson but man, what an inconsistent/injury-riddled career he's had since being a 2nd rounder. All the other guys, meh.
FWIW, I did recently pick up Richardson off FA and dropped Chris Hogan.
If Keenum can hold off Haskins for a while, I think the best we'd hope for is a Kenny Britt like season out of Richardson (where he eclipsed 100 targets + 1,000 yards)...but I imagine that's being very optimistic.

Terry McLaurin has been overlooked and underrated throughout the NFL draft and rookie draft process. He's polished and ready to go. He had the highest passer rating when targeted among all rookie WRs, despite his ADOT being about 20 yards. They used him as a deep threat, but any chance he got elsewhere, he made count. Contested catches. YAC. His high draft stock in Washington gives him the inside track to playing time, I believe. People fault him for low college production but he had a RB for a QB for 3 years, and then again, was used primarily as a deep threat. He's more than that though.

Leading the team's WRs in receiving as a rookie is a lot to ask from a 3rd round pick though. I know that Keelan Cole did that as an undrafted rookie, and same with Doug Baldwin, but ionno, I'd lean Doctson or PRich for sure.Lord_Varys wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:01 am Terry McLaurin has been overlooked and underrated throughout the NFL draft and rookie draft process. Ionno, it seems like they should sign someone that's still out there. Like Rishard Matthews, Crabtree, Mike Wallace, or Pierre Garcon.

Honestly, I'm not sure it really matters.
10-team Superflex, 0.5 PPR, 15-man rosters, pseudo-dynasty
Keep any number of players (0-15), lose same number of draft picks

Quinn while Case is QB (or Reed) .. short game rules ..
Haskins would lend to Doctson/Richardson .. or at least those guys should improve ..
Not sure WSH offense is going to scare anybody this year .

I disagree. I really believe in haskins and think he can have a long great career. He will find "his guy" and make him a very high end wr2 by the end of the year

That's usually how it works with rookie QBs.
