Yes.

Your only other option is to ask for a ransom of picks. Can still just draft him and let others come to you after the fact.

Yup and i actually think the rest of your team is good, idk how the rest of your league looks but your team looks like a possible contender for a playoff spot.

Yes, need should be ignored in rookie drafts and just draft the best player available, you can trade from a position of strength later to fill your needs rather than drafting an inferior talent to fill a need. Kyler is the clear #1 pick in 2QB/SF rookie drafts this year.
