Somewhat piggy-backing off of the 'Zeke is a ticking time bomb' post

On the off-chance that Zeke finds himself in trouble or even if he just gets injured, who is the preferred handcuff(s) in this backfield?

Pollard?
Weber?
Jackson?

Or does it not matter because it will be a committee situation that will diminish the value/ceiling of each player?

Pollard looks like a WR, I think he's also listed as both on Fantrax for whatever that's worth.

I added Pollard but only because that's the only piece of the backfield I could get. I would assume split carries if he is out for any length of time. Weber could be a poor mans 3 down back I suppose.

Jackson has the athletic profile to be David Johnson. But he's also bounced around the league a bit... I have a feeling if Zeke were to go down/be suspended, they'd try to bring in someone.

This is a dynasty focused forum. So I'll keep my opinion focused there. If I want to stoop to an Eggles fans level I'll meet him on his turf. Like a landfill.

Anyway, in terms of dynasty value, obviously Zeke is the back to own. I'd take flyers on Pollard and Weber I guess, and personally, I like Weber more as a RB than Pollard. Pollard has decent acceleration and footwork, but Weber is more elusive and is actually pretty good at using his blockers downfield. Even so, I'd look elsewhere for a late-round streamer. Dallas is just too reliant on the run, especially since Dak loves throwing the ball into the ground and/or to the cheerleaders. They got TFred coming back, so I expect them to feed Zeke, once again.

They should have shown some interest in TJ Yeldon and Ajayi. Heck, even Quizz Rodgers.

There isn't a handcuff, I don't even care to reach for one as a Zeke owner because a ton of backs will get the ball and more responsibility will fall on Dak and you'll see his red zone TD's increase. If there is a true handcuff in situations I don't mind having them but Dallas won't use one and nobody will be enough to rely on imo. Weber would be the gamble if you want to take one but he's just as likely to end up on PS as he is the back up. The role Dallas has envisioned for Pollard is never a fantasy factor, not with this scheme.

Could Pollard turn into their slot WR/COP back? Zeek has his role and so does Amari, but this isn't exactly an offense that is oozing with established playmakers.

They're gonna feed Zeke no matter what. Pollard could get some snaps, but not too many. Same with Weber. Slot WR is Cobb, and once he goes down with an injury, I bet you some scrub like Noah Brown will then get to play. Typical Cowboys.
