Who do I take at 1.01 tomorrow? Team rebuilding.

Postby Nflnz » Fri May 17, 2019 9:22 pm

So I am drafting tomorrow and planning on taking Jacobs, however with my team not in a position to compete for another 2 years I am hearing more and more that Sanders and Montgomery are better long term prospects. Then of course there is Harry, my WRs are ok but he is also an option.

I have tried to trade the pick but no one is interested now I need to make a decision.

Any help would be appreciated.

Take Jacobs, he is not only currently the most valuable player in this draft but also the most likely to have an immediate impact and grow his value quickly. You can then trade Jacobs to grab even more players/picks to continue the building process or build around him.

You need a RB and a TE big time. Lucky for you that the BPA lines up with your needs. Draft Jacobs with that 1.01 then grab a TE with one of your late firsts. Good luck.

your team is not good. I would honestly sell everything and look at competing in 3 yrs. if you don't think they will carry value in that time span......they have to go. sell high...as of today.

with that in mind, you have to find a way to move that 1.1. Jacobs is certainly worth something to help you from an owner in your league. I likely go to the 1.2 owner and and see what he'd be willing to add to secure the concensus 1.1 this year (as of today)….and id take it. id do that all the way to 1.4 and take who's left of Jacobs, harry, sanders, and monty. reap the rewards, and call it a win with your 1.1.

I think there is some offseason clean up that can be done here if you put in the time, but your going to have to find the right buyer/s in your your league.

****edit: if you want to make your team better...its the nite before the draft...you should be asking about any other pick rather than 1.1. if your spending your time here to see who's going 1.1....your missing a whole lot of fun

I would flip 1.01 for depth. This year's class isn't strong if you can get someone like Moore or trade back for multiple 1sts that would be a good idea. See if you can trade back into the middle of the 1st and get a '20 1st added.

I have tried both those options but having no luck. I think the best I could do is something like..

That's a nice deal. There's not that much difference between the 1.01 and 1.03; should be some nice values in the early 2nd.

Definitely Jacobs. Also try and sell of as many of your older players as possible, even if it's for future picks to help the rebuild, guys like McCoy and Fitzgerald might get later picks, try and target contending teams that perhaps lack a bit of depth. Good luck with the rebuild.
