Difference between K. Allen and B. Cooks

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Difference between K. Allen and B. Cooks

Postby kmbryant09 » Fri May 17, 2019 1:53 pm

Trying to get younger at WR while picking up multiple assets, trying to gauge the difference between my K. Allen and another owner's B. Cooks.

If I ask for his 2020 1st, would I have to throw in my 2nd? Is that even worth it? The other owner is probably a playoff team, but probably not among the top 2 - 3 in the league.

What makes up the difference between the two WRs?

Allen's name carries more clout for some reason, but I don't see a huge difference. A 2nd on the cooks side should do it

Narrative around Cooks is pretty negative atm. 2nd might not do it but I wouldn't want to add a 1st.

I'd try for someone like Corey Davis or Godwin and ask for a 1st on top. They are both on a career arc to match Cooks avg yearly production if they take the next step.

I like Cooks, but I'd still need at least a mid/late 1st on top of him to move Allen.

Id check the cooks owner to see if he'd even add. Ive spent alot of time on a few teams this offseason and found i could have saved a bunch if time by simply getting a gauge of how my partners value my asset aswell as their own.

x2

Cooks is more electric, but Allen is a Larry Fitzgerald level technician. He will be murdering DBs for several more years.
BOTH TEAMS BELOW ARE 1QB

TEAM A - 12 teams (19 R/U, 18 Champ, 17 R/U)
HERBERT, Brees, Ryan, Tua
COOK/JACOBS/MIXON, Dobbins, Hunt, Swift, Singletary, Bell, B Hill, Wilkins
NUK/HILL/GOLLADAY/K ALLEN, M Brown, D Johnson, Ruggs, Hilton, Pittman, G Davis, Ford, Wims
KITTLE, Waller, Akins, H Bryant
-
Not listing my IDP, but they matter as much as offense in this league. The Bosa Bros, D-Buck, and Cam Jordan are my main studs.
///
///
TEAM B - 32 teams, double copy - TEs get 1.5x bump in scoring
LAMAR, Rivers, Cousins, Darnold, J Love
SAQUON/MIXON/GORDON, Carson, Dobbins, Ingram, D Freeman, Clement
NUK/GOLLADAY/K ALLEN/JULIO, Evans, Thielen, DJ Moore, Lamb, Alshon
KITTLE/HENRY, James O
-
Danielle Hunter, Aaron Donald, and Chris Jones are the cornerstones of my IDP squad. LBs and DBs are rag tag for now.

I personally wouldn't add to Cooks for Keenan. Unless the Cooks owner came to you, I wouldn't expect an add. Of course you should ask for one, but don't be surprised if the ask is straight up.

I haven’t heard anything negative on cooks lately but I’ve been on vacation the last 10 days what have I missed?

I don't think you missed anything. I disagree that the narrative around Cooks is negative.

I ran this through the DLF dynasty trade analyzer and Allen + 2020 2nd for Cooks + 2020 1st came out really even. I think I'd rather have Cooks and a 2020 1st. FWIW, Cooks & 2020 2nd wasn't enough for Allen.

Allen was WR11 while Cooks was WR15. And last year (and year before) Cooks was in a new system. I doubt any Cooks owner is adding a 1st (I certainly wouldn't). Maybe you could get a 2020 2nd.

Agree that as a Cooks owner, I would not add a 1st to him to get Allen. I'd say Allen = Cooks + early/mid 2nd.
