Yeah, agree to disagree.Too many teams, too many chances to succeed, too many disappointments for me. If you still own Sammy, you think like Shcritters and will not being moving him.........
Eh...his main issue has almost always been health. He was a WR2 when healthy last year and showed some flashes...put up solid numbers in the playoffs. Put up huge numbers when down the stretch in 2015, although it's fair to question whether he's the same player post-foot injury. He's someone who I think can flourish given enough volume in that offense, and with Hunt out of the picture for good and Hill out for now (and maybe also for good), the opportunity is definitely there. I just wonder whether he can stay healthy.

Unfortunately, the kind of people that are willling to buy him because they’re excited for his opportunity in the coming season - they already own him.

I haven’t seen him sold anywhere recently.

If the given roster looks like a contender but has some weakness at WR (so to be clear, this would be the only place of weakness), then I think Watkins is worth holding.

If the given roster isn't a contender and/or has some other nice options at WR that are as good or better, I think you gotta use this sell-high window with Watkins. Assuming Hill's out of the picture, I do love Sammy for '19, but I don't expect his issues with staying healthy to suddenly go away.

Do note the peak sell-high window could be mid-season rather than right now. Of course, that would be gambling on 1.) Hill indeed getting suspended 2.) Watkins staying healthy for that long and indeed performing as we're expecting he might.

I came here to say something similar. Whatever you think of Sammy's actual value, his trade value will almost surely continue to rise to the season start at least. And beyond if he puts up early production. Time is on his side. Whatever you can get today should increase significantly, in my estimation, as Tyreek's demise becomes official and the harsh reality sets in. The Chefs are rolling with Sammy & a fast rookie WR. Come on man, how does his value not rise significantly?

In one of my leagues I was offered Guice for Sammy straight up. Declined - mostly due to being spooked about his injury setbacks & ongoing "stiff knee". may regret it later if he recovers!

I’d probably sell for the 1.06 or better, but I doubt anyone is paying that in my particular market of 11. I haven’t had any offers or inquiries about him, nor have I actively shopped him. I’d definitely have taken the Guice offer mentioned above if I didn’t already own him too.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

Hold. He's just entering his prime, and this is his first off-season on the same team since 2016. WRs perform worse in years in which they move teams as a positional trend. (https://www.4for4.com/fantasy-football/ ... production) I know Sammy Watkins was at some point a flat earther, which doesn't speak well for his ability to quickly learn a new playbook. I've always been high on him as a talent, I believe he has the drive to make the most of this golden opportunity in front of him. Where I'm competing, I'm willing to take on the risk of the lisfranc re-occurrence. Julio Jones has made it work so far.

If you're a Hill owner would you pay a 2020 1st for Sammy?

Wanting and getting can be as wide as the Grand Canyon..... Good Luck but doubt this happens given so much history. Maybe some young newbie will pay that price but highly doubt anyone would even trade Hardman for him once he is drafted.

Hardman is going top 6 in some drafts now.

...yes, thank you for restating my point.

And Hardman may be going in the top 6 in some drafts, but he's got an ADP of #13. Holding Hardman over Watkins would be the epitome of rookie fever.

It is not really rookie fever but Watkins production over his 5 year career.

As a Rookie Watkins had 128 targets 65 receptions, His 2nd year was also promising with 96 targets and 60 receptions but he missed 3 games.

His last 3 years he has had a total of 177 targets and 107 receptions in 33 games. To put that is production in perspective Julio in 16 games last year had 170 targets and 113 receptions.

Further, when one looks at the scheme for KC, Tyreek gobbled up 137 targets and 87 receptions last season. Hardman is slotted into that position given the situation. KC doesn't target the more stationary X WR in their system nearly as much as the move WR.

I would much rather take my chances on Hardman on this team. I have always liked Sammy's talent but his dependability and position he plays in their system is not ideal.

Hardman is the upside play here going into the future and this is the real reason he is flying up draft boards. Obviously, he has to grow into the position but we already know Watkins past and it is disappointing on many levels so his value is high risk at this point.

ADP means nothing to me. I have no idea what the masses are doing with their research within a team structure and how a particular player will most likely be used. What ADP is telling us if anything is Hardman is flying up draft boards post NFL draft as the masses start to delve into the mindset of the KC brain trust with this selection.
