Antonio Brown Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Antonio Brown Value

Postby manatees9999 » Sat May 04, 2019 3:35 pm

Team not in signature...12 team ppr dynasty league, all else being equal, what would you prefer to have 1.05 AND 1.09 in rookie draft OR Antonio Brown?

If you are a contender, Brown. Middle of the pack or rebuild, probably the picks based on age and new situation.

I finished 3rd last year(1st year of this particular Dynasty league), but have big risks this year with both Gurley(injury) and Tyreek Hill(terrible person).

I paid 2019 1.05 and 2.06 and 2020 first for Antonio. I'd pay 1.5 and 1.9 but I could see why people wouldn't.
I'm gambling on Antonio staying in good shape for 2-3 years but there is risk . We've seen so many receivers just fall off a cliff in 30s. Talent wise and I opportunity wise he should be good, even with Carr. Think it's a good move to try to win now. There is risk certainly more long term and with Gurley and Hill situations you might be better off trying to acquire younger more stable assets e.g Diggs for less for the long term.

With risky players like Gurley and Hill, I would cash out on AB, who is a bit of a risk of himself with his age and attitude. You won't get close to that offer next year.

I know Brown is getting old, but I keep pounding the drum for proven talent over draft picks.

Would you rather have Corey Davis and Jon Ross over Brown? Maybe Perriman and Agholor? Or R. Freeman and R. Jones?

To many misses on draft picks. Keep proven talent (just ask the Giants).

at this point, I don't think you are able to buy Diggs for less than Antonio...
I like Antonio...but I suppose I could see a case for the picks..I only own Antonio on a championship team and I wouldn't trade him for that...

edit: if you are the Antonio owner, I would hold him right now...nobody wants to prove himself more than Antonio and if/when he does his value will rise....than get some 2020 1sts for him, since it is supposed to be a better class

Was 2019 1.5 and 2020 (hopefully late) 1st too much for Brown? That's what I paid and I'm wondering if I paid too much
