Traded my 1.02 and a 2020 first and 2nd for Kittle in TE premium/SF. As a Raider fan, I'm now torn on that trade.

So I guess Marquise Brown isn't that either. Good luck in that offense. I'm actually sad about it. I wanted to see what he could do with a legit NFL passer. He's now relegated to mediocrity. I would have liked to have seen what he could do with a chance. I can't hold his weight against him at this point. If he fails, it's not his fault. 6 targets a game with 3 being 4 feet over his head despite being 4 yards open is not the proper fate for him.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:00 pm So much for his floor being Mike Evans.
Usually obvious transcendent WR talents go pretty high in the first round. He'll go in the 2nd for sure though.

Man, this is the first time I’ve been wrong by underestimating an NFL FO. I really thought Buffalo would take him 9th overall, despite thinking that it would be a wild reach, or that GB would take him. Womp.
I suppose if Indy takes Metcalf, Brown, or Butler here to start the 2nd, then that guy will get some 1.01 love along with Jacobs and Harry. Same if SF takes one of those guys. Hollywood is going to have a really wide range of outcomes but people might let him slip too far because of the landing spot. Murray will obviously be another candidate in superflex, depending on your rules.

Re-read. I never said Brown was transcendent. I said that he was arguably the best WR prospect available and was being discounted in dynasty for poor reasons.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:25 amSo I guess Marquise Brown isn't that either. Agree, While I would have liked him going 1st round, this draft looks to have generational talent on defense. I haven't seen this many blue chip athletes in a draft for years.JFever wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:05 pmReal life football different than fantasy. This draft was / is deep in very talented defensive players. Teams also have o-line needs. Also near elite TE prospects. This pushes even good offensive talent (rb, wr). Down. Not near as big a knock or surprise as some might think.
People thinking he doesn't have star potential because he didn't go high in round 1 might want to re think that. This is dynasty after all and I think the over and under for WR's in round 2 could be close to 10 picks.
I do like Brown's spot much more than Harry's for fantasy purposes but Jacobs is now the front runner at 1.1. Safe landing spot on a team that desperately needed a RB.

It is also worth noting that multiple teams had day 3 grades on Metcalf.

Ice wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 5:48 amOn Brown; The more I think about the Ravens landing spot the more I like it. The QB today is more of a one read then run QB. His first read should be Brown who can run both short and deep routes. He should dominate targets and even though Jackson may complete 1 less throw in 10 attempts compared the more accurate QB's target share should make Brown a big time fantasy asset. He has the speed to take it to the house.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:25 amSo I guess Marquise Brown isn't that either. Good luck in that offense. I'm actually sad about it. Obviously a KC would have been better but he could have gone to worse systems IMO where he would have to fight for targets.

Always a good thing when things get "testy" when a receiver is meeting with potential coaches for the first time..Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 6:09 amThere's a 49ers source saying him and Shanahan didn't mesh well and things got "testy."
Yikes.
Metcalf does strike me as the "full of himself" type.

Re: DK Metcalf is your 1.01 now.
I'm a DK detractor, but I would be happy with him in the second round of the NFL draft. To me, there were too many red flags with him on tape to me for a first, especially early 1st, (also, given the talent you would be missing out on opposed to him), but the second is perfect value to me with his upside and role he play in the offense.

Re: DK Metcalf is your 1.01 now.
If that is true then his intelligence and maturity surely have to come into question. SF should be a dream landing spot for DK.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 6:09 amThere's a 49ers source saying him and Shanahan didn't mesh well and things got "testy."
Re: DK Metcalf is your 1.01 now.
I was actualy being sarcastic and taking a shot at somebodt that knows it all when it comes to evaluating players. DK was never a 1st round talent, he isnt even a top 5 wr in this draft.JFever wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:05 pmReal life football different than fantasy.
