Wow Harry to NE. I thought for sure AJ Brown to NE, but it kinda makes sense. They liked Josh Gordon and he kind of fits that role. DK may drop even farther, but we will see.
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

Their last 1st round WR was Terry Glenn. They've also drafted Stanley Morgan & Irving Fryar. Thats 3 WRs with lengthy careers.

They did draft Hart Lee Dykes - but his career was cut short by Irving Fryar & a really bad knee injury. Their only other WR selected in the 1st was Darryl Stingley, whose career was also cut short by gruesome injury.

So Patriots 1st Round WR History is 3 hits & 2 injury incompletes. Compared to the 2015-2017 1st round selections of every other team ... :shifty:

Dobson was drafted 30 picks later, almost a full round, and had not half the pedigree that Harry does.

Harry is also walking into a situation with a lot of targets from last year vacated (Gronk, Gordon). Dobson was as well of course, but again he was not considered nearly the prospect that Harry is. Dobson was the 3rd leading receiver on Marshall his senior season.

His career was also sidelined by injuries it seems (placed on IR both in 2014 & 2015).

Why did Oakland need to address RB? Sign Crowell, redshirt Warren, and Richard is a good pass catching back.

They are the dumbest team besides maybe the Giants.

I like the Jacobs landing spot. Carr throws a ton to RB's, and Gruden has a history previously of bellcow RB's. I imagine Jacobs will split a lot of time with Crowell still, at least early on, but Jacobs floor seems pretty strong to me right out of the gate.

RB value in the NFL has definitely declined some but not as much as analysts and message board posters would have you believe.

Name an AFC West team capable of stopping a TE ....
I think this might be the best landing spot of our first round players. He should have a Evan Engram type-rookie season right out the gate. Flacco loves the tight ends and there's no true #1 WR there in Denver as of right now. There are a ton of targets available with the loss of Sanders and Heurman and Lacosse also saw 85 targets between the two of them. If he plays 16 games Fant could easily see 100+ targets which would automatically place him as upper TE1.

Oh yeah. I'm still putting Fant behind Hock on my board, but Fant in Denver isn't bad at all.

The main thing I wanted to see with Fant was him be taken in the 1st round, because that suggests he's being embraced for what he is right now -- a pure move-TE.
