DLF Members - Try a 3 Minute Wonderlic Test

Postby Cult of Dionysus » Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:08 pm

Since we like to analyze athletes taking a multi-question test... I thought it be fun for all of us to take a 3 minute 15-question Wonderlic sample test:

https://samplewonderlictest.com/

CultNation got 7/15 right, getting me into the 62% percentile.

Do the free test, and be honest with your answer.

Lol I started and got a few ridiculously easy questions, then my son woke up so I had to deal with him and restart the test and got a handful of ridiculously hard ones.

Maybes it’s cuz I’m super tired and it’s 4 in the morning but idk how you can get through all 15 in 3 mins. I got 6 of 8 right lmao

Yeah, I'm hammered and got 7 but I didn't finish. Been up for way too long, and well into some rum, so I feel like if I was better prepped for the types of questions, as I'm sure these kids are, I'd do OK.

Yeah the 3 minute test can really vary. First test I got 6/15, ran out of time because i kept getting all these unscramble the letters that took forever, and my first question took me like 1.5 mins! Was put in the 41st percentile.

Did it again right after, and got much easier questions and got 13/15, putting me in the 99th percentile. The questions were much easier, like adding only the odd numbers in a sequence of numbers and determining if the total is even or odd.

11 out of 15, ran out of time and didn't get to submit the last question

your score puts you in the 98th percentile

I did the full one since 12 minutes required wasn't terribly long. I submitted my last answer with 3 seconds remaining, and got 48/50--99th percentile.

I got 11/15. Which says 98th percentile. I ran out of time.

But if that really is what the true wonderlic test is about, I don't think putting a lot of stock in high wonderlic tests matter. Knowing how to solve math problems and word problems doesn't tell me if a QB can throw a 15 yard out route.

12/15 (99th percentile)
Your last answer was not submitted because time ran out.

Yay? I have no idea why this would be an indicator of QB talent. Maybe it tests being able to mentally process things quickly in a short period of time to see how they would do under pressure in the pocket even though it's not a direct translation of skills?

Everyone takes it, not just QBs. I'm guessing it has something to do with trying to predict how well someone can learn a playbook, schemes, etc. Not sure if it actually correlates well to that or not.

Yeah everyone takes it, but I've never seen a DL hyped up because of a high wonderlic score or a CB downgraded because of a low one. Usually they apply the results mostly toward analyzing QB prospects.

I got 14/15 because I simply ran out of time on the last one. I wouldn't consider myself an exceptionally bright guy or someone that's able to process information especially fast. I also have trouble reading a defense lol so I don't think doing well on these tests is a very good indicator of success.

I got 26 on the full test, but got 4 unscramble letters to create words, which killed my time (only got through 30 questions because of it, lol). I've never been good at those, lol.

I only took it once last night after about four and a half Firestone Walker IPAs and got 5/7 before time ran out. I’ve definitely scored better in the past. I think the most accurate way to take it is on paper, since it’s easier to skip over the ones you know will take a long time and come back to them after knocking out all the easy ones.
