Chris Godwin Heat Check
Re: Chris Godwin
I sold James Washington + 1.09 for Godwin. Use the hype of other players that haven't proven their worth yet to buy.
Re: Chris Godwin
I'm a Godwin owner and it seems most other owners are waaay higher on him than me. If I could get a mid first for him right now, I'd definitely accept. Godwin will be the #2 to Mike Evans for the forseeable future.

Re: Chris Godwin
I agree with this. I like the talent, but unless you think he'll replace Evans as the number 1 WR, I'd be careful what you offer for him, and what offers you reject in selling him. A player drafted early to mid first can easily beat that value.Ice wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 4:28 amI am a fan of Godwin, I like his talent better than situation. I can even get behind an owner putting huge value on him but....If you own 1.2 you would be an IDIOT for selling that pick for Godwin. No one should be selling high picks for WR2's on their own team. He could develop into a #1 but there is plenty of risk of that happening given the coach and system.

Re: Chris Godwin
In this class, that is deep (specifically at WR), but lacking ELITE talent, I'd gladly trade a high 1 for Godwin (whom I have as a higher graded talent than all but 1 players in this class). The Bucs will be passing a lot, so I see zero problems in them supporting multiple wrs in that offense (as well as Howard), especially with Humphries and DeSean out the door. Do I think he is going to a WR1 with Evans in town, no. But I do see him as a 1000+ yd, 8ish td wr for the foreseeable future, which I am more than happy to give an early 1 in this class for.

Chris Godwin Heat Check
How good do you think he'll actually be this year? I've generally been high on him in the past but his rise this offseason feels a bit premature imo. Godwin's has great size and speed but it just doesn't look like he separates that well.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Premature is right. I was surprised everyone started crowning him the way they did. I do like him though, but no way I'd buy at the forum price

He's got some nice hands. I think 75/1000/8 could be about right.

I’m a fan, bought him last off season. It’s fun to see the love here. But where I see him valued on this forums consensus I kinda wish I could sell for. I’ve got him worth a 1st for sure. Somewheres between 1 and 8 depending on settings.

Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
Godwin is an obvious 3rd-year breakout candidate. Jackson is gone (74 targets) and Humphries is gone (105 targets). TB also hasn't added anyone meaningful to replace either player and their run game still stinks on paper. Godwin looked very good last season and I'd guess that he'll top 1000 next season.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
I like Godwin a lot but if everyone is this high on Godwin then why does everyone hate Jameis? If Evans, Godwin and Howard are going to be as great as everyone thinks they are then that must mean Jameis is headed towards a top 10 season. Come at me. I am here to support my prince.
Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
There something about Winston that I don't trust for large fantasy football production. He has a lot of turnovers, right? Not that accurate if I remember correctly. Got benched for Fitzpatrick.Jason3123 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:30 am I like Godwin a lot but if everyone is this high on Godwin then why does everyone hate Jameis? If Deshaun Watson had the same receiving corp, I'd be higher on Godwin. I own Godwin and have been waiting for this opportunity, but I still don't have confidence. I hope he proves me wrong.

Re: Chris Godwin Heat Check
I like him but 1000 yards this year may be premature.
I think Evans & Godwin split the DJax targets whereas Howard will probably get most of Humphries.
Then Watson is a wild card.
Re: Jameis, Arians said his inaccuracy is mechanical, so lets see what happens when he actually has a coach that can help him for the first time.

I personally think people underestimate just how atrocious Dirk koetter was and that Tampa will be one of the top fantasy offenses this season. That’s my bet anyways.
