As we near draft time, I have an important reminder..
As we near draft time, I have an important reminder..
Talent trumps situation.
Especially long term.
It is important to remember this.
If there is a player you feel is the most talented at their position, do not be discouraged by a perceived poor landing spot.
There are countless recent examples of where this changed dramatically and quickly.
Kamara. McCaffrey. Mixon. Chubb. Michel.
Mahomes is considered the QB1 by many. This time last year, he barely played any snaps.
I am sure you can come up with more examples.
It is fine to like situation, but that can change quick - talent does not.
Be cautious of moving a player up who lands in a "better situation" than the player that you think has more talent.
That is all, for now.
Good luck fellas.
Especially long term.

Excellent and timely advice.
Could probably add Michael Thomas to that list as well. I remember the narrative that it was a terrible spot, since Cooks was already the established WR1 there.

Thought that went without needing to specify.

I agree...somewhat. Here's to hoping Corey Davis gets the hell out of Tennessee soon!
In too many leagues to list players. Check out my Dynasty Deep Dive!

Nick Chubb. I moved Penny ahead of him after the NFL draft. I liked both of them, but thought Penny had the better situation. I had to pay a lot more to acquire Chubb than I would have had I tried to acquire Penny this off season.Phaded wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 1:58 pm Talent trumps situation.

Would not give up on Freeman just yet because talent trumps situation. I don't think Lindsay's body can keep pace with his heart. Freeman is very talented and should be on buy low radars.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 5:18 pm Where was this post this time last year?
